Welcome to our weekly fireside chat where we discuss all things upcoming at the studio, our weekly focus and pose. This week we are talking about Durga and how to channel her in your daily practice, as well as what to expect in the coming week (May 4, 2020-May 10) at Practice Indie.
What does sex have to do with yoga? Well if we are trying to yoke our mind, body and spirit- there's no clause in there saying "but exclude your naughty bits". Sex is so charged in our society, so we've chosen the book Come as You Are by Dr. Emily Nagoski as our book club in May to seek to empower rather than suppress or shame one of the most sacred parts of ourselves- our sexuality.
Join us in this conversation to get pumped to read the book, and join in on the conversation May 9.

If Practice Indie had a Sanskrit name, this would likely be it. Svarupa is the discovery, practice and deep cultivation/love/acceptance of your true Self. This is not your external self (although we use that as an analogy in this episode), but rather who you are deep within. Join us this week to practice svarupa.
