By the Spring of 1945, the Allied troops have pressured the German Army into full retreat. Whole battalions are being captured or are disappearing into the population and the war is all but over. The Nazis begin an operation to cover up many things as they retreat. Sometimes they cover up great war crimes and atrocities… and some times they cover up priceless art and treasure. This is the tale of one such cover up that horrified the Allied troops in that time and will go on to tragically claim the lives of soldiers for decades.
