Story Transcript:

Cy: Yn y dyddiau oeraf o'r gaeaf, roedd marchnad brysur tref Caernarfon yn llawn pobl ac yn fwrlwm o sŵn a symudiad.
En: In the coldest days of winter, the bustling market of the town of Caernarfon was full of people and the buzz of noise and movement.

Cy: Yma, roedd Gareth, gwerthwr ifanc, yn cerdded rhwng stondinau, ei lygaid yn llawn chwilfrydedd.
En: Here, Gareth, a young seller, walked between stalls, his eyes full of curiosity.

Cy: Roedd e'n caru'r hwyaden fachog ac arogleuon melys y gwin poeth yn y marchnad ganol hen gaer uchel y castell, sy'n disgleirio gydag addurniadau newydd y Flwyddyn.
En: He loved the spiced duck and the sweet aromas of mulled wine at the market in the middle of the old high castle, which was shining with the new Year's decorations.

Cy: "Elowen!" galwodd Gareth, yn gweld ei ffrind, y wehyddes leol.
En: "Elowen!" called Gareth, seeing his friend, the local weaver.

Cy: Roedd hi'n sefyll gyda'i stondin sydd yn llawn festiynau lliwgar.
En: She was standing with her stall full of colorful wares.

Cy: Eiddo ei gallu i drafod, roedd Elowen yn ddeallus iawn ac yn aml yn cynnig cyngor medrus i Gareth.
En: Intelligent and articulate, Elowen often offered Gareth useful advice.

Cy: "Beth yw'r newyddion, Gareth?" holodd Elowen, ei llygaid yn llawn o fflach.
En: "What’s the news, Gareth?" asked Elowen, her eyes sparkling with interest.

Cy: "Mae'r grwgnach am gwpan aur yn mynd ar goll," esboniodd Gareth, â cherflun cynnwrf ar ei wyneb.
En: "There’s talk of a golden cup going missing," explained Gareth, a look of concern on his face.

Cy: "Mae sȃn ei fod â rhyw fuddwedd."
En: "It's said to have some kind of value."

Cy: "Mae'r gwpan hwnnw'n bwysig iawn," sylwodd Elowen yn feddylgar, yn cofio straeon am hudiau'r chalice.
En: "That cup is very important," Elowen remarked thoughtfully, recalling tales of the chalice's magic.

Cy: Wrth iddynt siarad, dyma Rhys, bardd digywilydd y dref, yn ymuno â nhw.
En: As they talked, Rhys, the shameless bard of the town, joined them.

Cy: Roedd Rhys bob amser yn llethol gyda straeon ac yn aml yn gwingo anghysondeb.
En: Rhys was always captivating with stories and often quirky in his behavior.

Cy: "Sŵn cyffrous!" cyfartalodd Rhys, ei lygaid yn ffyrnig a glyfar.
En: "Exciting news!" commented Rhys, his eyes sharp and clever.

Cy: "Efallai fy mod yn gwybod lwc wrth saethu ran o'r bachlog yma."
En: "Perhaps I know some luck in shooting part of this plot."

Cy: Fel bod pawb yn cerdded trwy'r torfeydd. Roedd y tri yn penderfynu gweithio gyda'i gilydd i ddarganfod lleihad y gwpan gwerthfawr.
En: As everyone walked through the crowds, the trio decided to work together to discover the whereabouts of the valuable cup.

Cy: Drwy gwmnïau manwerthyddion ac yn glywed straeon am ddigwyddiadau cwmpas, roeddent yn darganfod rhagor o glychau.
En: Through retailers and listening to tales of surrounding events, they found more clues.

Cy: Wrth i'r nos fynd yn fwy dwfn a'r tân bonffire ddechrau dawnsio yn erbyn y castell, daeth Gareth at ymchwiliad.
En: As the night deepened and the bonfire began to dance against the castle, Gareth came to a conclusion.

Cy: Rhoddodd pob darn at ei gilydd, un darn i'w dirsolau.
En: He pieced everything together, one piece to his satisfaction.

Cy: "Dyna ni'n mynd i'r wal honno," cyhoeddodd Gareth gyda chyffro, wrth iddynt cerdded tuag at yr hen ragfuriau.
En: "There we go toward that wall," declared Gareth excitedly, as they walked toward the old ramparts.

Cy: Yno, wrth oleuni'r tân dawnsio, a sawl wyneb yn edrych ymlaen, penderfynodd Gareth bwy ydoedd y twyllwr.
En: There, in the dancing firelight, with many faces watching expectantly, Gareth decided who the deceiver was.

Cy: Yn sydyn, y gwpan aur yn rhedeg golau ar ddwylo lleidr cwsg.
En: Suddenly, the golden cup glinted in the hands of the sleepy thief.

Cy: "O!" syfrdanodd Rhys, a gwên fawr ar ei wep.
En: "Oh!" exclaimed Rhys, a big grin on his face.

Cy: "Da i ti, Gareth!"
En: "Well done, Gareth!"

Cy: Yn dragwyddol, dychwelwyd y gwpan, a phob mwyaf codi ysbryd yr dathliad.
En: In eternity, the cup was returned, and the spirit of the celebration rose.

Cy: Roedd yr holl dorf yn clodfori Gareth, sydd bellach yn ymwybodol o'i allu cwys i ddatrys dirgelwch.
En: The whole crowd praised Gareth, who now became aware of his own ability to solve mysteries.

Cy: Roedd pobl y dref yn ymgasglu i ddangos eu gwerthfawrogiad.
En: The townspeople gathered to show their appreciation.

Cy: Gyda'r nos yn llenwi â'r sŵn o'r eglwys feibion, gwelodd Gareth olden newydd.
En: With the night filled with the sound of church bells, Gareth saw a new dawn.

Cy: Efallai bod bywyd yn cynnig mwy na gwerthu nwyddau - efallai bod hud gwirioneddol yn dirgelwch.
En: Perhaps life offered more than selling goods—perhaps true magic was in mystery.

Cy: Ac felly, mae Gareth yn edrych ymlaen at fwy o anturiaethau, y tu hwnt i fywyd ei fasnach.
En: And so, Gareth looked forward to more adventures, beyond the life of his trade.

Cy: roedd y dref yn parhau i ymfalchïo, gyda thraddodiad newydd y Flwyddyn yn parhau yn undod lwcus a hapus.
En: The town continued to celebrate, with the new Year's tradition continuing in fortunate and happy unity.
