Ken Summers, author of Queer Hauntings: True Tales of Gay and Lesbian Ghosts, shares with us how he found himself investigating ghosts and spirits who are gay, lesbian, transgender or bisexual. An intriguing line of thought because most paranormal investigators ignore or miss obvious signs in this regard, yet never miss discussing the past heterosexual romances and relationships of the lives of those who now haunt us. Ken also explains his orb color theory, and his regrets for his past lines of investigations including orbs in general. Ken also suspects that a number of individuals during the Spiritualist movement may have used their mediumship as a way to express their sexuality without condemnation. https://moonspenders.com/

Ken Summers is a paranormal researcher, history aficionado, part-time traveler, variegated artist, and purveyor of strange tales and forgotten hauntings. The ever-apologetic creator of the "orb color chart," he has always endeavored to balance open-minded fascination and humor with logical questioning in the pursuit of truth. Unlike many self-described experts in the field, he isn't afraid to admit that he doesn't have all the answers, and where others argue over the existence of ghosts, UFOs, Sasquatch, and other mysteries, Ken sees the true value of supernatural stories as a means of keeping interesting, forgotten history alive.
He has long been fascinated by the most obscure, forgotten, and unusual stories and incidents related to the paranormal. That quest for the strangest of the strange developed into a blog series of "Queer Paranormal Road Trips" in 2008. This questioning of the sexualities of specters led to his last book, Queer Hauntings: True Tales of Gay and Lesbian Ghosts, published in 2009.
Whenever possible, Ken puts his vast knowledge of "useless information" to use in the form of tours, lectures, or writing. Some of his work can be found on Week in Weird. He was also editor and a contributor for Jeri Holland’s book Haunted Akron. Currently, he's busily at work researching for a follow-up book, once again delving into the mysterious realm where 'weird' and 'queer' blur together.

With Dr. Heather Lynn: In the cavernous lower levels of museums around the world, thousands of artifacts are hidden from public view because they are considered “too threatening” to the established historical narrative. Meanwhile, secret archaeological excavations are routinely funded by shadowy organizations and multinational corporations.

What are they hiding? Popular beliefs range from the mundane to the fantastic; evidence of giants, extraterrestrials, ancient technology, and so on. Humanity has a right to know the truth. By keeping it cloaked in secrecy, all we have gained is increasingly extraordinary speculation.
