Vitamins and minerals from a homeopathic perceptive would be best if put back in the ground with nature’s natural balance.  This is not always possible, but it should be the thing we strive for.  Sometimes we have been compromised, for example age or life-style, and then we need a natural supplement.  Supplements should be take in its most natural form to get nature’s balance and should be taken through the mouth to taste it and get the best possible readings for the substances our bodies need. As we age we need more of what our body is missing, but young children’s bodies would be compromised if we give large amounts that in the blood would tell our bodies to get rid of their natural sources of vitamins, minerals and trace elements because the blood is ‘so full’.  Using common sense and the idea that natural amounts, natural products and natural body processes should be the standards at which any supplementation is conducted.
