Chelsey has gone home for the holidays, so Danny sits down with former comedian Brandon Doan to talk about the Alec Baldwin classic, The Shadow!

The Shadow was one of a number of 1920s pulp crimefighters who blurred the line between detective and superhero, paving the way for Batman. At his best, the Shadow was a complex and brooding vigilante, struggling to do right in an evil world. In this, he’s a vaguely anti-semitic magician.

We’re skipping over Legends of the Superheroes for now, to talk about our first Batporno! Filmed in 1982, Bathman dal pianeta Eros is one of the earliest examples of porn parodies. The dialogue is entirely in Italian, without subtitles of any kind, but it appears to be the story of silver aliens who come to Earth to...make everyone horny and sexually humiliate Batman? Chelsey hurt her back this week, but she makes a call in appearance, and we’re joined by comedian/actor/musician Alon Elian!

The New Adventures of Batman (Not to be confused with The Adventures of Batman, or The New Batman Adventures) was the least successful, least popular, and least remembered Batman TV series of all time. The show ran for only 25 episodes, but it marks the television debut of Bat-Mite, and remains the only show to have him on for more than one episode. Join us as we discuss exactly what makes Bat-Mite so awful, how to make a car out of an atom bomb, and what you call a boy hobo.

Our friend Adam joins us to talk about one of the strangest entries on our list, which really begs the question ‘What qualifies as a Batman movie?’ Originally conceived as a straightforward crime drama called, 'The Depraved’, the director changed his mind after most of the movie had already been shot, and the last twenty minutes suddenly become a Batman parody so campy, it makes Adam West look like Christian Bale. Also, there’s a gorilla.
