Hey there! Welcome to Episode 7 of Naari-tives! So before we get into this episode, we have a question for you: Are you, or do you know any menstruator who experienced some sort of mental health implications due to their menstrual cycles? Chances are that you have. Did you (or they), get the support that was needed? Well, if your answer to that was no, that was the case for us as well! This episode marks the beginning of the "Menstruation and Mental Health" Campaign by Maathr! In this episode, we try to understand the implications of menarche (the beginning of menstruation) on mental health. We're going to unpack so many interesting themes, starting from the impact of menarche on mental health, self esteem, body image and a lot more. As usual, we take the biopsychosocial approach to understand menarch among a diverse range of menstruators. We can't wait to embark on this 15-day journey with you. That said, stay tuned for everything related to Menstrauation and Mental Health from the 15th to 30th of August!
