We are hitting the pause button on our podcast, whilst we concentrate on our delivering our NAC programme.

Our NAC CEO Trevelyan Wright joins us for a look back on what we have  achieved with NAC@Home. Our podcast highlights and tells us more about  you can expect from the next few months here at the arts centre,  including new ventures for NAC and our future events.

To tie in with our recent announcement of our new venture in cinema is  this special film edition of NAC@Home.  In September our NAC courtyard  will be transformed into Wolverhampton’s open aired community cinema.  Find out what film we are kick starting our brand new socially  distanced cinema with and exactly what you can expect from NAC’s  Courtyard Cinema. There may even be some hidden clues for our programme  in this specially dedicated episode.

We have been busy here at NAC, working with resident youth theatre  groups Stagecoach and Central Youth Theatre to make their summer  activities programmes a reality. Both drama groups have safely and  successfully deviled their socially distanced workshops using our  outdoor spaces.

This week’s guest is Phil Rose, well known on the local jazz scene for  being a key member of organisations like Birmingham Jazz and Jazz West  Midlands.

This week we interview Renna Tailor Panchal from Bollywood Dream Dance.  Renna is well known in our city of Wolverhampton for providing her fun  and additive Bollywood style dance classes at here at NAC.  Throughout lockdown she has provided free interactive sessions via  Facebook Live and is now just about to launch her online summer course  via Zoom. Get ready as we talk dance, bollywood, fitness and well-being in this  episode of NAC@Home.

This week’s special quest is artist, dancer, and entertainer Sohan Kailey. Newhampton Arts Centre visitors will know Sohan for his Bhangra Kids and Bhangra Tot’s dance classes, previously featured in our NAC summer activities programme and community lead events like Wolverhampton’s Fun palaces.

This week we catch up with our very own NAC Site Manager Chris Brown, as well as been responsible for putting on live shows at Newhampton Arts Centre, Chris is also a musician himself and during lockdown he has become better known as the COVID Cowboy, sharing his one man band music videos across You Tube and Facebook.

Svenja Jinman join us once more, this time to tell us about a Virtual Family Festival that she has been very busy organising. Many Wolverhampton and West Midlands organiastions have now got involved, all offering family friendly workshops and children's actvivites to create a full day of interactive fun for you and your family.

Jazz at Wolverhampton is supported by Arts Council England and has  been developing a diverse programme of Jazz participation and  performance across our city. In recent years Jazz at Wolverhampton have  worked closely together with staff here at Newhampton Arts Centre,  putting on a programme of Jazz shows in a new venture called Jazz at  NAC.

The response to programme has been fantastic, drawing large crowds  and bringing world-class jazz musicians to the NAC stage and to Jazz  lovers across the Midlands. We now talk to Steve Evans from Jazz at  Wolverhampton to find out about the current state of Jazz at NAC and  what is happening in the scene across the Midlands.

In this episode of NAC@Home we interviewed singer/songwriter Dan  Whitehouse. The Birmingham based musician as played many gigs at NAC  over recent years including a collaborative set with Boo Hewerdine,  his  own headlines shows and even a song writing workshop for our Folk at the  NAC programme.
