iCreditWorks is a FinTech startup that wants to change how consumers access finance or medical services at the point of care. Cristian is working towards making banking and finances more accessible for the every day consumer no matter their situation in their career or personal life.
"I realised that while society was changing fast, banking was slow to adjust and keep pace with the evolving needs and wants of the modern consumers. I decided to join the FinTech space where the ability to respond to – and even anticipate – consumer needs is literally a matter of life and death."
Reflecting on his past career and being appointed executive sponsor of the diversity committee at Scotiabank, Cristian addresses the key to real, long-lasting success in inclusion; commitment from both the leadership of the institution and the employees directly impacted.
"To me, for inclusion to truly succeed, we first have to be aware of our biases. Without awareness, there is just habit."
