About Our Guest:

Jessica Urie, RN, BSN, LCP-C, CNLCP, is a registered nurse with more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare field. Her professional background includes emergency and trauma medicine, clinical trials, endpoint adjudication, case management, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and healthcare education. She has also contributed to cardiovascular research, with work published in the field. In 2019, Jessica transitioned into Life Care Planning. She is the owner of JHU Consulting LLC and the co-owner of MedEx Strategies LLC.

Jessica currently serves as the Past President of the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners (AANLCP), having held the role of President in 2024. She has been actively involved with the organization through service on the editorial board of the AANLCP Journal of Life Care Planning and participation on the AANLCP Conference Committee. She chaired the 2022 Conference Committee and co-chaired the 2023 and 2026 Conference Committees. In addition, Jessica has authored multiple articles for the AANLCP Journal of Life Care Planning and has presented webinars and conference sessions for AANLCP. In recognition of her contributions, she received the AANLCP Ambassador Award in 2022 for her outstanding work on the AANLCP Conference.

Dr. Reinaldo Gutiérrez is a nurse, holds a Master’s degree and a PhD in Nursing, and has postgraduate training in Epidemiology and Statistics. He has clinical practice experience in cardiovascular health nursing and intensive care. In addition, he has conducted research focused on the development of nursing diagnoses related to the phenomenon of self-efficacy in health, translating it into a human response and a diagnostic tool for diagnostic inference of this phenomenon in professional nursing practice.

El Dr. Reinaldo Gutierrez es enfermero, posee el Grado de Máster así como el Doctorado en enfermería. También ha obtenido formación postgraduada en epidemiología y Estadística. Tiene experiencia práctica clínica en enfermería en Salud Cardiovascular y Cuidados Intensivos. About Our Guest:

Ana Choperena Armendáriz es licenciada en Enfermería (2001) y en Humanidades (2008), y recibió el Premio Extraordinario por Rendimiento Académico. Obtuvo su doctorado en Historia por la Universidad de Navarra en 2014, con una tesis centrada en las memorias de las enfermeras de la Guerra Civil estadounidense. Ejerció la práctica clínica durante siete años en la Unidad de Hemodiálisis de la Clínica Universidad de Navarra antes de incorporarse al ámbito académico. Actualmente es profesora en la Facultad de Enfermería de la Universidad de Navarra, donde imparte docencia de grado y posgrado en historia de la enfermería, metodología y práctica avanzada de enfermería. Su investigación se centra en la atención centrada en la persona, lidera el proyecto NarratUN, financiado con fondos públicos, y colabora con diversos grupos de investigación nacionales e internacionales. Su producción académica aborda la escritura de las mujeres, los fundamentos de la enfermería y la práctica reflexiva, y ha contado con el apoyo de estancias posdoctorales en Boston College y en el Yvonne L. Munn Center. En la actualidad, ejerce como decana de la Facultad de Enfermería de la Universidad de Navarra y como vicepresidenta del capítulo Alpha Gamma Alpha (España) de Sigma Theta Tau International.
