Simon Mayo from ANDYSMANCLUB joins us for part 1 of our International Men’s Day special on the WATT’S CURRENT podcast.
Simon Mayo, Regional Area Manager, shares the origins of the charity, how it has grown to more than 300 peer-to-peer support groups across the UK, and why creating safe spaces for men to talk is so important.
He also talks about his story and how he doesn't see the charity as a 'job', as it has such an impact on those that suffer with similar issues and can have a good 'moan' to get things off their chest.
Simon’s message is clear: “Break that barrier. Just walk through the door. Whatever you’re going through, you’re not alone.”
TRIGGER WARNING - Discussions about suicide and mental health
Part 2 continues on 3 December.
