There are electricians that just say that to every customer, and to be honest - how would the customer know its not true?
It all comes down to knowing your stuff and evaluating the install to see what you recommend along with what needs to be done.
A customer will take the electricians word for it. Then there will be some who assume its been there for 50 years and noting is wrong with it.
Things change, regulations change and electricians need to change too for their insurance to be valid.
The podcast goes into detail on why consumer unit will need upgrading along with what you can actually get away with - you will be surprised.
The FREE download is for you to give to your customers to help explain why you have recommended a fuse board upgrade. - you are free to do whatever you like with it.

if you find it hard to get new customers to grow your business, just go out and make new friends.
But make friends with who? Good question.
There are specific people I have become friends over the years that I have noticed that have helped me get plenty of work over the years.
Thinking about it, it was pretty interesting to hear how so many customers got my details. There are some people who haven't recommended me ever. I'm not going to mention them - they might be listening 😂.
The more people you have talking about you and your work, the calls just come in continually.
Its a natural progression for your business to grow.
When listening to the podcast, keep in mind the types of people who have helped my business grow and when you work for them - make sure to make a good impression.
They are out there and some of the things they do are UNBELIABLE!
Trades people who do these things cant be serious about building a profitable business.
It goes without saying DO NOT copy some of the things mentioned in the podcast, but learn from them to make your customers feel more comfortable.
Lets be honest, without a good network of customers, any tradesman is never going to have continuous work.
That's what keep us self employed tradesmen busy - do one good job and it can spiral into 10 more in the future.

Ever wondered what it's really like to drive an electric car?
Not just the shiny advertisements and ideal scenarios, but the actual day-to-day experience?
Welcome back to Tool Box Talk for Electricians, with me, Ben Poulter. Today, I’m diving into the true story of my first time driving a fully electric car.
Join me as I share my adventure from a quick trip to Germany, where I hired a bog-standard Renault Twingo from a major rental company.
What seemed like a straightforward journey turned into an eye-opening exploration of the electric car world. Are they really the future of automobiles? Should electricians jump on the EV charger installation bandwagon?
These are the questions we'll tackle.
From the struggle of finding the right charger to the unexpected costs, I’ll walk you through the good, the bad, and the unexpected realities of electric car ownership.
Discover if this new technology is truly a game-changer or just a fleeting trend.
And for my fellow electricians, let's discuss whether becoming an EV charger installer is a lucrative move or a potential pitfall.
In this episode, I'll break down the pros and cons of electric vehicles, drawing from my own experiences and conversations with locals in Germany.
We’ll cover the practicalities of driving and charging, the environmental benefits, and the current infrastructure challenges.
Plus, I’ll share my insights on the viability of adding EV charger installation to your skillset.
Don't miss out on this candid discussion that could reshape your understanding of electric cars and your business decisions.

You can use social media for both options.
I suppose you can even do both at the same time, However it would be good to get one working before the other.
Fail to Plan - Plan to Fail - this sticks with me all the time, if you don't know how your going to get there, its gong to be a bumpy ride.
In this podcast I talk about How you should use social media for your benefit.
How to get more work with the types of videos you should be creating.
Or if you would like to get paid for the content you create, as ALL social media platforms are willing to pay you.
So weather its for a extra income or to generate more work, this podcast will help you figure out a plan.
