Does Jesus' brand of love do more than fulfill it's moral obligations?

Aside from unpacking practical ways to get started, this week we addressed some of the barriers to actually doing our part in living green. Barriers like, "I'm too busy? I'm too cash strapped to buy all organic and shop local? I'm not convinced my small efforts will really make a difference?"

Is the gospel limited to humans? What if it has cosmic implications?

We started with the simple joys of the watching the night sky here in Montana. Then we worked outward: visiting the moon, each of the planets, many of their moons, Pluto, then double back for the Sun, then nearby stars, planets around other stars, nebulae, black holes, the galaxy as a whole, other galaxies and their structures, quasars, a few of the key unsolved mysteries about our universe (dark matter, dark energy) emphasizing that what we know is tiny compared to what is out there, then the Hubble deep field, and estimates of the total size of our universe. Finally, we concluded by noting that while our universe is unimaginably big, it is a UNI-verse: No matter where we look we find the same types of atoms, the same force of gravity, the same laws of nature, the same design, the same hand has shaped everything that we see. Whew! Yes, there was plenty to talk about!

What if there's a corresponding relationship between our ability to be present among creation, and our ability to enjoy God's presence? What if the both require similar disciplines, decisions, skills and rhythms? This week we'll explore such relationships and remind ourselves of God's desire to dwell with us.

Why do we yearn for spring? Is Wall-E correct in its assertion that when people become disconnected from creation they become a little less human? This week we explored the idea that God is community a wealth of information about Himself via creation, the question is, "Are we attentive to what it is saying?"

What role does God have for women? Where do women fit within the created order?

What does it look like for a community of people to be the church in the community in which they sit? What does it look like for a community of people to exist as Narrate Church in Helena, MT?

What if being fulfilled in our desires for community requires that we have four types of relationships: intimate, personal, social and public?
