I recorded this episode on the current state of America's politics a day before Joe Biden decided to drop out of the race but there were enough relevant points made about the three branches that I couldn't justify chopping the episode (and Biden only took up a fraction of the discussion). More than Biden, I touch on Trump, the Court's recent decisions, and the bigotry that is being revived by these MAGA folks.

A lot of my single friends are going through hell dating right now and, while I haven't been single in over a decade, I decided to take the time on this episode to talk about what I see as an outsider looking in.

While a lot of this is applicable to a lot of 30-somethings, I'm specifically talking to my Black folks who are out here looking for love. Make sure it's foundational. Especially those choosing a person to pro-create with, know that that is for life and you need to know that person well as you make that decision.

No spoiler alerts but seeing Creed III reminded me that, for many Black men across America, survivor's remorse is a triggering norm. This episode focuses on the fact that those of us who consider ourselves to have attained a level of success cannot fail because of the people who positioned themselves against insurmountable odds so that I can be here now living the life that I do.

Brothers, take care of your mental health. And keep going.

I'm sick of them killing us and then the media turning around to show the footage as if it is a Micheal Jordan highlight reel that was created to be played on repeat. Black children, women, and men should not have to prove their humanity to not be killed, especially by those who are sworn to protect and serve us.

I refuse to watch these videos.
