    In today's image, we see the comet known as 3I/ATLAS. This is the third object discovered to have been determined to be visiting the solar system from another star system and the first detected since 2019. It will come in a bit close than Mars before heading out into interstellar space.

    In today's image, we see what is known as the Helix Galaxy which is an example of a rare type of galaxy known as a polar ring galaxy. It is expected that this is formed in an unusual type of collision which causes material to orbit perpendicular to the plane of the disk of the galaxy.
