The Nashville Sounds defeated the Durham Bulls 7-4 to even the series on Friday night at First Horizon Park.
The Sounds scored three times in the second inning after Bulls starter Angel Sanchez was knocked out of the game on a line drive to the body by Wes Clarke. Nathan Wiles entered in emergency relief to throw 4 1/3 innings to keep the Bulls in the game.
Durham scoreed once in the fourth on a double by Austin Shenton, then another in the sixth on a bases loaded walk to Ronny Simon. However, Nashville scored three more times in the sixth to pull away.
