The Nashville Sounds beat the Durham Bulls 9-8 in 10 innings in the series opener at the DBAP.

Ruben Cardenas and Yu Chang hit back-to-back homers in the third inning to tie the game 4-4.  After Brewer Hicklen hit his second HR of the game, giving the Sounds a 7-6 lead in the ninth with two outs and two strikes, Rene Pinto smoked a home run in the last of the 9th to tie the score 7-7.

Mason Montgomery worked six innings, permitting four runs - all in the second inning.

Jonathan Aranda went 4-5 in a major league rehab. Brandon Lowe, also on a MLB rehab, went 1-2 with a double and walk. Pete Fairbanks tossed a scoreless eighth inning on his first MLB rehab appearance.
