When my sellers asked me this question about 2 weeks prior to closing (we got it under contract over a month ago) "Can I sell my home since we have a mortgage?" my first thought (thank goodness I kept it to myself) was Of course we can and isn't it a little late to be asking this .Now?

But when I asked a few more questions, I realized he was really asking... 

        how does that mortgage get paid off... 

        what do I need to do...     

       do we take money to the bank to pay off the loan after closing? Or will you ( my company) do that?

      and many other questions.

He was asking functionally how does it work kind of questions. Good ones!
