The Southern Miss Golden Eagles baseball team not only notched their 10th consecutive 40-season with this past weekend's sweep of Georgia Southern, but it also secured its first-ever outright regular-season Sun Belt Conference championship. The pitching over the weekend was outstanding, and the bats weren't too shabby either. The No. 8 Golden Eagles are back in the Top 10 of the national rankings for the first time since early April, and they control their own destiny for hosting a Regional, and possibly Super Regionals as well if they just keep winning baseball games.
