From the very first day of the show, my expectations for the finale were incredibly high, and it certainly met them on every level. The writing, direction, plot twists, character development, and performances were all outstanding. Characters like Oz, Cobb, Sofia, Francis, and Victor share a common thread: they achieved what they longed for throughout the series, yet they lost everything in the process. What makes this show remarkable is that it conveys these emotions not through dialogue but through exceptional acting and masterful writing. I am truly in awe of this entire series; it represents a level of quality that is rarely seen more than once a decade. Meanwhile, Sony, which has been delivering subpar portrayals of Spider-Man villains, could learn a great deal from these writers about how to effectively craft a story around a comic book antagonist.

A superhero in real life. He persisted in his efforts despite his misfortune. He encouraged people and exuded love and hope. His family's support of him was heartwarming. Even more tragic is the fact that he continued to move forward while being paralyzed and unable to perform daily tasks. A lovely man growing up in a shattered household, just like me, trying to live my life, brought tears to my eyes. He eventually came to appreciate how fortunate he was to have the affection of his wife, kids, friends, and supporters. He made significant contributions to issues close to his heart. He will always be remembered. Even more tragic was the impact all of this had on his children.

Kelsey Asbille has caught my attention since her days on Pair of Kings (2010-2013), and her rise to fame with her role in Yellowstone (2019-) has been remarkable. On the other hand, Finn Wittrock has recently come onto my radar, particularly after his appearance in the tenth season of American Horror Story. The production quality and the music were outstanding, leaving me in awe. Unfortunately, the narrative lacked development, and the conclusion felt hollow, especially with the Joker being defeated by an insignificant character. The film's strength primarily came from the remarkable performances of Phoenix and Lady Gaga, which carried the story forward. While I enjoyed the film overall, I found the writing to be lacking, and some courtroom scenes dragged on longer than necessary. I would have liked to see Lee portrayed with a stronger obsession for the original movie, rather than simply being enamored by it due to a fantasy.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is a sequel that was made over 30 years ago. It's a movie that no one asked for, but many people saw it and were satisfied. That's a rare thing these days. Nowadays, most sequels and reboots based on old series are soulless money-making schemes based on notoriety without a good story behind them. After all these years, I can count on one hand how many good reboots/sequels have been released. Plus, Tim Burton hasn't made anything worthwhile in over 20 years. The last good movie he made was Sweeney Todd.

In 2006, I picked up "Uglies," the first book by Scott Westerfeld, as it was included in my daughter's summer reading list before she entered high school. Since then, I've been eagerly anticipating the film adaptations. I had a clear image of Tally and Shay in my mind, and the movie's portrayal was quite aligned with my expectations. While many adaptations tend to omit key elements from the source material and introduce unnecessary drama, this film stayed true to the essence of the book, making it an enjoyable experience for me.
