The Idaho Legislature hasn't come up with any solutions on property tax and they haven't even mentioned "grocery" and "tax" in the same sentence. Nate Shelman talked to Chair of the Revenue and Tax committee, State Rep. Jason Monks, about why we haven't seen those things yet. If you had to grade the Idaho State Legislature so far, what grade would you give them? Governor Brad Little joined Nate Shelman for a little bit to discuss the Idaho Launch Program. After that Nate switched gears and discussed AI technology. Two stories have come out this week regarding the limits of technology. The first is that Tesla has recalled over 362,000 cars because the self-driving software is unsafe. Now for some balloon talk. China is saying that they might retaliate over the US destroying its balloon. Nate Shelman asks: Are you worried about China or not? In Idaho there is a bill that, if passed, would make school board elections partisan. Do you think this is a good or bad idea? Do school boards need to be partisan? Nate also discussed the life sentence given to the shooter who killed 10 people in Buffallo at a grocery store last year. Even though the death penalty is not available in New York, that is what Nate feels this crime deserved. What are your thoughts? (2/15/23)

The Caldwell School Board Meeting was last night and they decided to wait to vote on the proposed gender policy. Meanwhile, Nikki Haley has announced that she will be running for president on the GOP ticket in 2024. Nate Shelman asks: Do you think the Republican party needs a younger and fresh face? Bringing the show back to Idaho, Nate talked to State Representative John Gannon about his bill that would get rid of Idaho's faith healing exemption. The Caldwell School District Board Meeting about gender policy, among other things, will be held tonight. Nate Shelman wants to know who is going, and also encourages people to share their opinions but not to get violent. There were several electric vehicle commercials that aired during yesterday's game. The US House of Representative unanimously voted 419-0 to condemn China for the spy balloon incident. Nate Shelman discussed the miracle that a unanimous vote in the House truly is. He also asked: What should we do to condemn China? Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez spoke in the House about why congress should let non-citizens vote on local matters in Washington D.C. Do you think that the federal government should pass a law that would make it illegal for non-citizens to vote in local elections? Nate also briefly talked about the Micron layoffs, and throughout the show he paid homage to Burt Bacharach. (2/3/23)

There was some booing, jeering, and even some shouting during last night's State of The Union Address. Do you think that this is the time and place for a loud response or not? During the State of The Union Address Biden mentioned non-compete agreements and how he wants to limit them. Do you think it is the federal government's job to limit non-compete agreements? To wrap up the show Nate Shelman discussed an Idaho bill that would dictate when school bonds and levies can be presented, Santos V Romney, and New Zealand Police finding 3.5 tons of cocaine. The spaces include: If Biden Stumbles do the chicken dance, if gun control is mentioned buy a firearm, and if McCarthy rips up the speech take a shot of hot sauce. The Idaho Statesman, however, had a dripping opinion on why we should care more about wolves. What are your thoughts? The West Ada Education Association sent out an email asking for people to attend the Caldwell School Board Meeting regarding transgender bathroom policy. Nate wants to know why this was asked? State Representative Megan Blanksma joined Nate to discuss the Idaho Launch Program, House Bill 24. The bill would allow grant money to students pursuing degrees or training programs that are in high demand. This idea has gotten a surprising amount of push back. What are your thoughts and why?
