VIDEO TOUR OF REC'S AUTOMATED PRODUCTION PLANT IN SINGAPORE
Now more than ever we find ourselves at a critical juncture when it comes to the question of fracking in New York State. With new information about fracking's risks becoming available, literally on almost a weekly basis, it is clearer than ever that New York's cautious approach is the right one.
That's why we're upping our outreach and public education, and urgently calling on Governor Cuomo to put a formal, long-term moratorium on fracking in place. The de facto moratorium that's been in effect since 2008 has provided an important opportunity to ensure that we carefully consider all of the scientific facts about public health and environmental impacts of fracking before making any decisions about whether to move forward. Now is the time to formalize that commitment in a three-to-five year formal moratorium.
Significant new scientific evidence about the dangers of fracking has been rolling in recently – from investigations into air and waterquality impacts, to the implications for climate , to risks fromearthquakes, to threats to public health and, just today, traffic fatalities –all of which provides clear and powerful justification for continuing with a judicious approach in New York.

What We Do – Our Mission
The Freedom Foundation's mission is to CULTIVATE (develop, enlighten, educate, train, refine, advocate for, encourage, help, aid, and assist) THE NEXT GENERATION through programs and services that inspire and equip them to reach their full potential.
Who We AreWe are a group of volunteers committed to doing what it takes to see the next generation have, more fulfilling lives. The organization is almost 100% volunteer-based and is run by people who have learned one of the keys to happiness: it is better to give than to receive. While our differences are many, one thing unites us – a heart to serve. It's pretty amazing how a common cause brings such a diverse group together. Some volunteer with RATCo at weekly rehearsals and mentoring programs, while others support by coordinating events or fundraising activities, and still others donate professional services such as marketing or accounting to keep costs down. For example, this entire website was designed and built on donated time and talent – pretty cool, huh?
