Joe Ross struggled early before "settling in" but an ugly top of the tenth inning cost the Nationals, who fell to 49-33 on the year with one more to play with the Reds tomorrow afternoon when Stephen Strasburg will return from the DL to start in the nation's capital.

Washington and Cincinnati were tied at 2-2 in the fourteenth when a HBP and groundout put Danny Espinosa on second with Ben Revere at the plate and Revere hit a walk-off double to right to win it. 3-2 final. Nationals win their sixth straight. With the win the Nats improved to 49-32 on the year. Tanner Roark put together a solid start but didn't factor in the decision. Danny Espinosa hit a grand slam and a three-run home run to end an impressive month of June at the plate. Gio Gonzalez put together a solid start, and he got plenty of run support as the Nats rallied from an early deficit and kept piling on runs in their fifth straight win overall. Nationals now 48-32.
