「我的研究有什麼用？」這是一個研究生的千古大哉問——我們不斷地被別人問，我們也不斷地問自己，我們的研究價值是什麼？

我們決定以這個幾乎是所有研究生都會碰到的焦慮來作為 NATSA podcast 第二季的第一集主題。在這一集中，我們討論了一些常見的文科研究生對於自己研究意義所產生的焦慮，包含留學生無可迴避的「做台灣研究有什麼用？」的問題，以及自己的研究題目對於社會有什麼貢獻的，對於學術研究是否能真的影響社會的自我質疑。滷肉在節目中分享了身為文科博班生是如何面對這些焦慮的，而滷蛋也從他的角度分享了理工科研究生對自我研究價值的看法。雖然這些都不是絕對的答案，但希望能對抱持類似疑慮的人有些幫助。

節目的最後是「鄉民時間」，我們會分享美國的一些實用趣事。透過滷蛋與滷肉在美國與健保交手的各種（賭爛）經驗，這集的鄉民時間希望呼籲大家，在做研究之餘也不要疏於生理健康的重要性。提醒我們自己也提醒大家，尤其是在現在的疫情情勢下，不要用健康去換研究品質。

「走學術之前我應該考慮什麼？走學術之中的人在掙扎什麼？只有我念博班念到身心俱疲嗎？」

今年五月NATSA 2021的線上年會中，我們首度討論學術工作或留學生活中長期被忽略的心理健康議題，意外引起諸多共鳴，讓我們覺得是時候更深入且公開地重視學術場域所引發的心理健康問題。NATSA podcast 第二季， 將由滷肉（在課業壓力之下落入韓國女團斷食法的文科博士生）以及滷蛋（申請博班申請到被家人帶去觀落陰的工科博士生）兩位主持人，以自身經驗為出發，帶領大家一同探討學術界和留學光環下的迷思、焦慮、與陰暗面，以及我們在陷入這些問題時，如何排解與自處的心得撇步。

ep.0 中將為大家解釋我們為什麼想在這個時候做這個題目，以及我們最想透過這個節目，為所有在留學路上、學術路上的人所做到的事——「陪伴」。

我們希望讓所有在這條路上掙扎的人知道，你不是孤單的。
