NUMBA TEN IS LATE
SORRY 4 THA WAIT
Sorry yall, I took the wife to the Georgia Aquarium this weekend to see Lizzo's exhibit, and my job has me working LOTSA HOURS! This week we give our (in no particular order) top 5 action movies of the early 00's!
We discover how little Dylan really knows actors, and well, film in general. He doesn't know Colin Farrell. . . Look, he's here for comic relief. We also review Turnpike Troubadours first album, the 2010 BANGER "Diamonds & Gasoline".
We started doing a new thing for listeners where if you rate us 5 stars and leave a review, we will read the review on the next episode! SO MAKE SURE YOU WRITE US A REVIEW!
Thank you to everyone that's been reaching out and requesting movies. We especially appreciate all the feedback you've given us. It really makes these episodes that much more fun for us knowing we can help someone get through their workday!
This week we took on a movie that emphasizes two of Dylan's biggest fears: spiders, and Adam Sandler movies!
KIND OF KIDDING!!
We watch and review the new Netflix original Spaceman starring Adam Sandler and Paul Dano, who voices a giant telepathic spider from deep space. (are you sure this isn't a horror film?) We also review the Elton John album Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player
Thank you for listening, and stay tuned for some updates coming soon!
DISCLAIMER TIME
Dylan made the mistake of listening to the audio book before watching the movie.
He had some...........opinions......
He'll get over it
THAT BEING SAID, this week we review the movie Poor Things (loosely) based on the 1992 novel by Alasdair Gray, and the album "The Other Damn Half" by Nashville native Hannah Dasher. Be sure to leave us a 5 star review on Apple or Spotify, and we'll read your review on the next episode. Thanks for listening homies!
This week we did something a little different, to keep things interesting! Tyler and Dylan give their top 5 comedy movies of the 90's, in no particular order. We decided it would be fun for every 5 episodes we do, to throw in a top 5. Let us know what you think of this format. Was your favorite 90's comedy on our list? What genre would you like us to explore next?
THIS WEEK WAS A BANGER BOYYYYYY
We watched the BOLLYWOOD film RRR (Roudram Ranam Rudhiram) and all I can say is WOW. from beginning to end this movie had our attention. I can't think of anything in recent history that even compares to this masterpiece. Even with a 3-hour run time, we were HOOKED! Definitely recommend this one, if you have the time to check it out. We also review Renee Rapp's album "Snow Angel" because Tyler is a "Gen Z hot girl at heart". Thank you for listening and be sure to let us know what you think!
This week we review the 1997 John Leguizamo film "The Pest, and the album "First Place" by The Brook & the Bluff. Yall, this movie was wild. Believe me when I say, they simply do not make em like they used to. John pokes fun at EVERY race, nationality, color, or creed you can think of. The movie didn't age well, but we got a kick out of his NUMEROUS costume changes. OH, and don't forget the ridiculous performance from a young Aries Spears. First Place is a solid album all the way through. Dylan dubbed it a "no skip", meaning he recommends you listen to it ALL THE WAY THROUGH! Thanks for listening, and be sure to let us know how you feel about our podcast!
This week we reviewed the Paul Giamatti movie The Holdovers, and the new EP from hardcore/punk supergroup Better Lovers. We had a great time watching this movie, and an even better time jamming to this amazing EP. We're definitely looking forward to hearing more from this band, and ALWAYS waiting for more from Paul Giamatti!
We failed to find a plot summary for DESTROY ALL NEIGHBORS, and once again ask you to bear with us as we figure out what the hell we're doing!
We hope you enjoy this episode, and the many more to come!
This is our FIRST official episode of the Natural Born Casters podcast! Tyler and Dylan discuss the movie from which they derive the podcast name, Natural Born Killers, and the album Mule Variations by Tom Waits. If you like this content, and would like to hear more, follow us on all socials, and tune in every Monday for a new episode, where we discuss a different movie and album we recommend to each other. We're still learning how this whole thing works, so please bear with us as we begin this journey with you all! Thanks for listening and remember, It's just a podcast, all God's creatures listen!
