5.19.21 - Day 13/13 of the Yellow Seed Wavespell * Spectral Moon 18

We complete the Yellow Seed wavespell and move seamlessly into the Red Earth that will harvest it. In the coming days we will be able to remark on palpable change, difference, evolution in our lives - Red Earth always delivers because tag along on its trajectory through the solar system and our placement and perspective within it is altered. The Spectral Moon is in its intense third week in the West and the release and liberation of this tone are the upside of earlier feelings of confusion and chaos.

5.17.21 - Day 11/13 of the Yellow Seed Wavespell * Spectral Moon 16

The final portal days of the Yellow Seed wavespell feed into the third week of the Spectral Moon. A lot of intensity to navigate. The Mayan year is starting to wain, however. As we finish out the Spectral Moon we will be moving into the profound calm of the Crystal and Cosmic tones, when resolution and transcendence push us past the most heated conflict and opposition of this long Blue Lunar Storm experience. Don't forget that this is the same energy field as 1968-9 and note both the similarities and evolution from comparison to that also turbulent time.

5.9.21 - Day 3/13 of the Yellow Seed Wavespell * Spectral Moon 8

We're in the heart of the Yellow Seed wavespell and it seems subdued compared to recent tribes' ascendancy. We are responsive to light and heat, drawn to water, simple in our appetites, aware of the natural surround and scents. We're appreciative of plant life and we're imbued with its sensibilities ourselves, and this feels like a step back from egoic appetites and plans for ascendancy. We are drawn back to the land, slow and determined in our movements, able to take moments to see the sun and gain strength.

5.9.21 - Day 3/13 of the Yellow Seed Wavespell * Spectral Moon 8

First of ten portals today. Yellow Seed portals are different than Red Serpent portals. I may not say right now how I think they differ, to see if it's the same every cycle. I just suggest you break each day into a portal experience all of its own, as a beginner it's probably easiest and I'm leaning myself back into beginner's mind to see what new learning lives there. The portal is so profound on its own, and to have ten in a row means we can really study its art, impact, implication. Look for the moment when the wall becomes a door. This doesn't have to be the most profound piece of a portal day - the interaction, the lesson, the illumination. Rather, it's just the most portal-y, the gateway moment, when you feel the actual shift of reality, from blocked to open.

5.5.21 - Day 12/13 of the Blue Monkey Wavespell * Spectral Moon 4

Everything is falling apart. Or something is, you can feel it as the Spectral Moon takes center stage. Falling apart sounds chaotic and destructive, but it's as much the aeration of packed sediment, the relief of tension where space and ease is introduced, the spreading out into liberation of something that was totally, tightly focused. Try to go with the spring fever/freedom from quarantine version of release the Spectral tone offers, the undoing. Anything 'un-', actually: unwinding, unfurling, unburdening, unbinding. Dissolving what was wound, burdened, bound, and becoming free.

5.2.21 - Day 9/13 of the Blue Monkey Wavespell * Spectral Moon 1

The new Spectral Moon is here. It's a rapid descent after the previous ten moons (280 days, since July 25, 2020) of slowly, then more explosively, rising to the sky. Notice if you immediately feel the difference, the introduction of chaos and undoing, what Jose Arguelles (himself Spectral) calls dissolving, liberating. Picture it as the moment a wave breaks, is white capped and spills over: fast, tight tension spinning itself into explosion, and gravity forcing all movement downward. I always say, it's like falling and flying at the same time - one is terrifying, the other a rush of incredible freedom.

4.28.21 - Day 5/13 of the Blue Monkey Wavespell * Planetary Moon 25

It's almost to the end of the Planetary Moon and you can use the last few days to accept that change is about to get very real. There's nothing but rapid change ahead of us for the next stage of our annual wavespell - as the wave breaks in the Spectral tone. What feels solid, stable, even kind of stifling at the moment is about to disappear, dissolve from any grip or control we feel we've achieved. It's going to fly away, and we're going to be in flight, too, and that's exciting, dramatic, fast-moving - but it's not going to be the same as where we are now and so it is good to accept that from the outset, to anticipate the imminent, often positive upheaval.

4.25.21 - Day 2/13 of the Blue Monkey Wavespell * Planetary Moon 22

The Blue Monkey wavespell is absolutely about childlike play, an escape from seriousness and adult responsibility. It's a regression to our wild imaginations and blind innocence. Like a monkey. It's also a time of magic - pure enchantment and also manipulated trickery. It feels good to have the refreshing fun and games after a long haul of hard work in the recent Tzolkin wavespells. It is absolutely important to go into the magickal realm offered and not miss out. This is play time, recess, a holiday vibe. And it's primal in terms of an animal self taking us out of our heads and into our gangly monkey limbs and long fingers and toes - rarely touching the ground but so connected to the trees that channel between earth and sky.

4.21.21 - Day 11/13 of the White Mirror Wavespell * Planetary Moon 18

We are about to transit to the second half of the Tzolkin. It's not necessarily easier, but I would say that we get to build from the wisdom of experience, the ego-busting that's been asked of us, so we enter the next phase with heartiness and eyes wide open. It has been work to walk through the wavespells of late, and we're stronger, forced into resilience by all that has been demanded of us. We can play for a little while in the Blue Monkey wavespell that shifts us into childhood imagination and freedom from serious responsibilities. It's like earned time off after the long stretch of pressures and diligent achievement of the last while.

4.18.21 - Day 8/13 of the White Mirror Wavespell * Planetary Moon 15

We are in the Mystic Column - the seventh, centermost column of the Tzolkin. There are no portals in this column -  because the whole 20 days is stretched out into one channel between heaven and earth. Rarified, otherworldly, ethereal, the Mystic Column perfectly reflects the culminating days of the White Mirror wavespell then the magic that begins with Blue Monkey and the second half of the Tzolkin. It's a transcendent time of transiting between the first 130 days (the Red Dragon Genesis) and the second (Blue Monkey Genesis).
