1.24.21 - Day 2/13 of the Yellow Sun Wavespell * Resonant Moon 15

[In the podcast I incorrectly state it's Day 21 of the Resonant Moon. The rest of the references to the third week in the Moon are accurate. Thanks, Mercury Retrograde!] I took a break and skipped a podcast episode - more like I lost my confidence in holding any spiritual insight, which seems an apt statement on the Blue Hand wavespell we just completed when it's contextualized as the time of Donald Trump's day sign. Not a big spiritualist, that one. But the Yellow Sun time, combined especially with the continued journey through the Resonant Moon, will be different: illuminated, directing us to listen to spiritual teachings and teachers, fostering a reverence to the sun itself as well as all processes that fire us with devotion.

1.17.21 - Day 8/13 of the Blue Hand Wavespell * Resonant Moon 8

Mercury Retrograde pre-shadow converges with the mystical-averse Blue Hand wavespell to make things choppy, analytical, easy to criticize and a bit numb to compassion, emotional vulnerability, selflessness.

1.13.21 - Day 4/13 of the Blue Hand Wavespell * Resonant Moon 4

Not the most mystical wavespell - rather it's hyper-functional, task-oriented with goals of accomplishment, efficiency, completion. It's a celebration of our particular human skill set - making things, materialization of what lives first in the mind's eye. Watch the achievement of industry, the checked off to-do list, the whirl and thrill of getting things done. It's not always this easy.

1.10.21 - Day 1/13 of the Blue Hand Wavespell * Resonant Moon 1

We're beginning Donald Trump's wavespell today, gratified that he hit the wall of deceit and dark foment in the last one. So we have a clearer slate veering toward truth and out of denial in which to feature this man's Mayan astrology. We can learn about his actual karma by paying attention to his time of homecoming, past his forced ego presentation and overblown self-aggrandizement. Of course you can skip out on observing him at all - and he seems more invisible without his hallmark platforms to amplify his driving resentment and white collar rage - but there's something healing (a theme of Blue Hand) about taking the prophetic Mayan turn into his territory and watching for truth.

1.6.21 - Day 10/13 of the White Wizard Wavespell * Rhythmic Moon 25

Looking at January 6, 2021 through the Mayan lens, it's not obvious how things got so incredibly insane. But Blue Night days are like a dream - and there was plenty to witness culturally today that unfolded like a disjoined nocturnal walkabout with nightmarish twists but mostly lots of odd non sequiturs. And the Planetary tone always forces us to face what's going on right here, laterally, no heavenly escape valves. It's the peak moment of the White Wizard wavespell, a time of dark enchantment as well as light. It's a Lunar year, dividing everything into polar opposition. It's a Blue Storm year - combustible, pressure-bursting, chaotic. Today was guided by Blue Monkey - which operates like the lies children tell in its shadow energy: grandiose and guileless, irrational but offered with such conviction. That sounds about right.

A new Gregorian year brings reflection through the Natural Time lens. It's an artificial count imposed by emperors, popes and colonization, but it still cycles us through a 13-year wavespell and it's worth discovering the Mayan astrological description of 2021.

12.30.20 - Day 3/13 of the White Wizard wavespell * Rhythmic Moon 18

The White Wizard wavespell is a journey through enchantment. Always remind myself that in the fairytale and mythology version of this, there are plenty of dark forces in the forest doing ill. So we can patiently attend to the White Wizard passage knowing we'll meet bad players, or feel the energy surround of malevolence, while always saved, sent along by benevolent guides we meet on the way - especially when the obstacles feel too challenging, or the path too tangled.

12.27.20 - Day 13/13 of the Red Dragon wavespell * Rhythmic Moon 15

We enter the third week of the Rhythmic Moon, in the West, and open ourselves up to its characteristic intensity and velocity. The full moon's approach is part of this stacked moment of greater emotion, passion and transformation - not the platitude about transformation but the true alchemy of a Mayan cyclical shift from the Northern direction of air to the Southern direction of earth through these seven days in the element of water. Fluidity, liquid feelings and tidal surges take over. We also transit from the Red Dragon wavespell to White Wizard, imminently. The time of enchantment in a 13 day stretch microcosmically replicates the larger White Wizard wavespell we're living that lasts 13 years.

12.23.20 - Day 9/13 of the Red Dragon wavespell * Rhythmic Moon 11

The second week of the Rhythmic Moon is a passage through the north and space of spirit. It's always a countdown to Christmas as well. You can see if you can reorient your focus from the material and familial demands of the season to the distant stars and surrounding darkness, some of the earliest Christmas traditions. Or if you feel constricted in the usual holiday madness, understand that in the Natural Time orientation, pure spirituality - meditative communication with an unseen world - is our current passage.

12.20.20 - Day 6/13 of the Red Dragon wavespell * Rhythmic Moon 8

The Red Dragon wavespell is a birth portal - something is coming that has been living, evolving inside you for the past nine months. Male or female, you can connect the Tzolkin to the gestation in humans and know that you participated in the creation, conception of new life a long time ago - late March of this year - and now it's awakening, ready to stand on its own apart from you. The stretch of 13 days to accompany this birth is auspicious: let it be languorous, or arduous, because it represents a giant accomplishment or advancement. It's not quick and easy, or fast forgotten. The impressiveness, the impact of this time is to make sure you understand the grandeur of what has come through you creatively. And mid-wavespell, you may not yet even know what's being birthed - the gender reveal, the genetic attributes, the health and vitality of that passing through you will be clearer in the next days.
