Case Managers risk their own lives and jobs, parents risk theirs as well trying to raise decent and productive adults. It's a tough job.
But we are all working together for your best interest to keep you safe and help you be productive citizens in the community, free to act within the laws set to keep us all Safe and orderly. Out of chaos.
Think about it. Life makes sense and our rules are there for a reason.
If we don't do our jobs correctly we risk losing them. You guys risk your freedom, safety, health, mental health, family, friends, by continuing to break the rules or laws while on probation. Being monitored closely is no easy thing. Human nature- we all make mistakes. We have to recognize human mistakes and changing behavior versus deceit, manipulation, and bad habits in disguise with fake it to make it thinking.
Change is necessary to growth and often change is uncomfortable.
I learned that You cannot run from everything that discomforts you- you have to recognize when the struggle is worth it.
Make Goals and reach them.
You have to be that change. Each one of you. Do it for yourselves and see how everything bad in your life slowly starts to get better. Trust the system- it is built to protect us- learn the law and your rights and trust the people in your life simply trying to HELP you.
What is in your BEST interest? Think Long term. What will be right for you and your future and what measurable risks are worth taking now? If any- talk to someone who has been there done that.
It is important to know you are not alone and someone out there has been through what you're going through.
Resources and people are out there- I am one of them.
Others include: Hotlines such as the abuse hotline (1-800-96-abuse) , this was the most common one I had to call in situations that called for it. Safety First was and is a rule for me. The department of children and families works to rehabilitate and keep families together in my experience. I helped guide many families just trying to save theirselves and their children. I am blessed to have been a crucial piece of a system for so long. The children and families really all remain in my heart and prayers.
There are also in-patient and out-patient programs for youth and adults - for mental health and substance abuse.
Help is available and hotlines and podcasts and mentors even- can help you find the help you need to get your life back on track if you need the help.
Sometimes life knocks you down, let someone give you a hand to help you out if needed, asking for help is so amazing, then sharing the tools and paying forward what you learned is also amazing.
That's where I am in life right now.
Life is HARD! I have gone through a lot of experiences both personal and just as an observer- continue to until the day I must rest in peace... ! But it's worth it. Work hard and give it time ! I am willing to. Are you?
Stick with me. I have so much content to share and I couldn't be more passionate to share it with my listenership. You all fuel me to keep this going all 2020. I will take it one year at a time for now. Like I do all things that require commitment- this is a coping skill for me. One year at a time. Planning and taking action towards goals.
I hope You learned something today or felt inspired to get the help you need for whatever you currently battle that may be stopping your future greatness.
Go BE Great - spread the love. Thank you always for listening! Share if you care to. :)
