Keep Calm: God is in Control! That’s our theme this week on Perry & Shawna Mornings. Shawna tells a story of a time when she knew what her daughter’s day would hold and her daughter didn’t. Her daughter struggled to obey when what Shawna was asking of her didn’t make sense. Been there?  It’s hard to trust when you don’t have all the answers but isn’t that what trust is? If we had all the info we wouldn’t need to trust at all.

Scott shares about taking on a new job in a new state and calling his wife on his first day to tell her, “I think I’ve just made the biggest mistake of my life!” Find out how that went down and how sometimes what feels like a big mistake can lead to a big blessing!

When your heart has a longing and God says “no” we can feel that God is holding out on us or just plain robbing us of joy. Is it possible that He knows more than we know? That His “no” is not withholding but actually provision? Shawna shares how a 12 year old set her straight about hearing “no”.

Lastly, Psalm 77:10-12 teaches us when we can’t see how things are going to go in the future and we’re riddled with anxiety in the present, we can look to the past to remind us that God is faithful and good.
