2021 NBA Playoffs & Player Injuries That Have Impacted the 2021 NBA Post-Season

The NBA embarked on a shortened off-season coupled with a 72 game regular season, and a host of NBA player injuries to go along with it.  The idea was for the NBA season and NBA Playoffs to be completed before the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, but at what cost?

Several NBA superstars and significant role players have been sidelined for the majority of the NBA season and the NBA Playoffs - when it matters MOST!

Did Adam Silver and NBA Governors really think the shortened off-season through? 

This season has resulted in the MOST soft-tissue injuries in quite some time. 

It comes as no surprise that the NBA Playoffs have been impacted by player injuries, but the beauty of it all is we have been able to see new faces shine in the NBA Postseason.  

I think it's safe to say the next generation of NBA talent is ready to conquer the throne!

The 2021 NBA Playoffs are underway and our predictions and analysis of what we've seen so far are eye-opening! 

What happened to the Miami Heat?  Has Donovan Mitchell changed the competitive landscape in the Utah Jazz vs. Memphis Grizzlies series?  What about the Washington Wizards vs. Philadelphia Sixers? Can we assume the series is over already?

Dillon Brooks and the Memphis Grizzlies caused the biggest upset of the NBA Play-In Tournament.  

We all know the NBA wanted the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Playoffs by way of the NBA Play-In Tournament.  However, the Memphis Grizzlies had other plans for the Golden State Warriors.  Those plans included sending the Warriors on an early vacation behind the defensive heroics of Dillon Brooks and the offensive prowess of his running mate Ja Morant.

What can we expect from these teams next year?

When NBA teams begin training camp, the one goal is to make it to the NBA Playoffs each year.  For some NBA teams, it's a given.  While for other teams, it's a stretch every year.

The Milwaukee Bucks have won 8 of the last 10 games, including back-to-back dominant victories over the Eastern Conference juggernauts Brooklyn Nets.  Giannis has led the Bucks all season and now he has significant help with Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton having a solid season as well.

CP3 is having an MVP season for the Phoenix Suns.  The Playoff drought is officially over, but is Chris Paul the 2021 MVP?

The Phoenix Suns are currently #1 in the Western Conference Standings as of today.  If they hold onto the top seed, should Chris Paul be in the MVP conversation at least?

CP3's veteran leadership and aggressive playmaking skills have contributed greatly to the Phoenix Suns this season.  After not making the Playoffs since 2010, Phoenix Suns fans are rejoicing and they have every right to be excited about their chances to win an NBA title.

The Los Angeles Lakers have recently signed Andre Drummond and Ben McLemore which further complicates Frank Vogel's decision on playing time.  Marc Gasol and Montrezl Harrell might get the short end of the stick!
