On June 11, I share on the theme Wait on God while giving the encouragement on the Caribbean Praise Radio Network with Pastor G.

And while I was pondering what to share today, the same title Wait on God came back to me. At around 3am, I got up to dialogue with God and listen to a few songs then read James chapter 1. The verse that jump out at me is James 1:17 where it says " Every good gifts and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights , with whom is no variablesness, neither shadow of turning"

You see people of God, the Lord reminded me this morning that the Wait maybe long and hard however in the end there is beauty.

We are at times plunged into a waiting season because God knows what He wants to perfect in us. He knows when to give us those beautiful gifts.

This morning God also used another analogy to bring this theme home to me. My phone got disrupted yesterday and I had to get a new one. This morning when transferring the messages from the old device there were about 2times it got disrupted. I waited patiently then closed the error message after which I start the process over again from top. At one point I got frustrated then I move the devices to another location and let them stay. After a while the transfer was completed.

I was relieved and said yes I can finally see my WhatsApp messages again.

Just like how I had to wait for the transfer to happen, that's how we must wait on God to come through for us. This weeks theme on a call to live righteously definitely is a reminder of how God requires us to live. You see if we don't wait, we will ended up restarting over and over again.

Starting over is not bad however, it's the lessons we need to learn in the moment. The wait maybe be painful but in the end a beautiful gift awaits us.

There are so many times we try to help God because our impatient nature could not endure. Often when that happens, we realized it was too soon and guess what God bring us right back to where He wants us.

You maybe in your season now where you are waiting on God for a job, child, marriage, visa documents, car and many more, don't loose hope today. God's promise still stands because great is His faithfulness towards us.

In your season of waiting, ensure the work is being done. Remember, we have to give God something to work with. Patience is the key to achieve anything from God. God is not in a hurry and neither should we.

Another thing, society's timeline is not God's timeline. Remember He said in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I have a plan for you declares the Lord, Plan to prosper you and not to harm you, a plan to give you hope and a future.

Stay with God and keep his plans in mind. For His promises still stands.

Don't Forget What God Has Done

Many times as believers we find ourselves in some predicament as a result of poor choices and during those moments we call on God to help us. Am I right?

We also get on our knees daily to pray and ask God for His help continually. Now, when God reaches down His hands and touch us, rescue us from those situations, the things we use to do like fast, pray consistently, reading the Bible more often, searching for encouraging words either on YouTube or other word based platforms slowly decreased.

I would like to know why? This morning I want to remind us to not forget to pray or stay in the word. God is not a God to be used whenever things are bad. Let us not forget His caring nature or take advantage of it for that matter. Our intimate moments with God should not decrease because we got what we need or things look good. We need Him 24/7, every minute, hour and second of our lives.

Let's not forget His kindness towards us. He blesses us because of His great love for His children.

Keep on praising God in the good times and bad. It was for us why He died on the cross of Calvary. He didn't have to do but His love for us wouldn't make us miss out on reaching heaven.

We must not forget. Listen to these words in Ps 34:1-2 "I will bless the Lord at all times: his praiseall continually be in my mouth.

Never forget what the Lord has done for us. He is always watching over us. He's a God who cares. God loves is all, Hallelujah.

Stay With God

Ps 34:1-4

I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Brethren, don't leave the presence of God. Stay under His wings. Christ has called us live a holy life. Do not give up so quickly because things seems challenging or felt guilty for a mistake made.

Stay with God and don't loose heart. Stay with God and don't loose focus. Your time of rejoicing is here.

It was Paul who wrote rejoice in the Lord again I say rejoice. Phil 4:4.

Remember that when we seek the throne God in humbleness and with sincerity there are so much favour being bestowed upon us

I always say when people leave the presence of God what is there out in the world to entice us.

Stay with God...I know it's not easy but stay with God

The Love of Christ

We don't have to question if God loves us.

Right throughout the scriptures there has been expressions of the Love in He has for us.

Our God is a God that will not push us to the side or cast us away. "No greater love than this a God who sent His one and only begotten son. This love is deep its quite unique it reach and it seeks". Words penned by Tedra Bennett in her song God's love.

We are God’s children and the sovereignty of His love fills our lives daily.

Repeat this after me " God I am thankful for your love"; "God I am thankful that You sent Your one and only begotten son to die for me".

Never forget my brothers and sisters that God chase after those He love. Let me read it for you found in Hebrews 12:6'7

"For whom the Lord liveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he recieveth

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

Be anxious for nothing

Why is so easy for believers to plunged into worry?

Let me remind you this morning that God got us covered.

Let me remind you this morning that it's only a journey and this too shall past.

Something that I recognize about me is that I tend to overthink alot and as a result I have so many thoughts running in my head.

Now, I can say that since I recognize that God thoughts and not my thoughts, I began giving everything over to Him

And it's amazing to say that God has been help me to not be anxious for nothing in this life.

Last night I sat in my bed and was reflecting on a particular situation which has been bothering me for quite sometime now. I looked at how the poor choices I made contributed to me seeing myself in a negative light. Then I remembered there is hope.

Though those poor choices contributed to me feeling as if Christ has forsaken or forgotten me, Christ is saying innthe spur of the moment, my daughter I am still here.

How many times do we worry uncomfortable only to see things fall into place?

I was reassured last night that God got me covered....it's the same for you people of God. Being anxious all the time makes us doubt God's ability to rescue us from any predicament we fall into.

Let that worries go

Let those negative actions

Let go those negative self-talks

Let go, let go.

The word of God in Phil 4:6-7 reminds us to be anxious for nothing but in prayer and supplication we ought to make our request be made known to God.

This is my favorite part: And the peace of God which surpasseth all understanding will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus our Lord.

You see people of God, God's peace calms every chaotic situation in our lives. Worrying about it will not solve any problem.

Let go and let God take control. Remember, when those thoughts come turn to Jesus and He will make away.

Peace in the midst of chaos

Let me remind you with these words by Jesus in John 14: 27. "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid

How many times we worry unnecessarily over things which cannot be controlled?

Let the peace of God dwell in our hearts today and watch Him fulfill all that needs to be. There's a reason why Jesus told His disciplines and the others surrounding Him before he ascended to heaven that He's giving them peace.

You see when we're at peace with a situation, it doesn't become a bother anymore. We may even forget that it happened.

If you have entrusted in someone and later on it becomes disappointing to the point of them breaking that trust, accept God's peace and let not your heart be troubled.

If you're in a season now where no matter what is going on after one situation ended another starts, accept God's peace and let not your heart be troubled.

If you were decieved by others whom you thought had your back, accept God's peace and let not your heart be troubled.

You see, I could go on and on with many examples. Today I wants us to remember that growth takes times. Transformation is a daily experience. Submitting our old ways to God is a daily thing. When we accept God's peace, nothing or no one in this world can steal our joy or make us loose focus in God.

It's such a wonderful feeling when we're at peace with the situations rising up in our lives like a tornado. Dont give up or loose faith in God. Endure those tornado circumstances as they often comes when God is testing us. The test maybe be challenging however it's the lessons learnt at the end makes us transformed into the beautiful creation God has made.

Whatever you're going through, accept God's peace. Don't complain, don't hold any regrets, don't say if I had known, don't loose faith.

Don't Look Back

Our human nature sometimes have a tendency to look back or revisit those places which may have caused us hurt.

We may also want to revisit a place or a situation that God took us from .

You see , the thing we have to realize is that when God remove us from a place it simply means our time has expired and it's now a season for a new assignment.

When we look back, it makes us become weak or not wanting to launch out to the other side.

There is a story in the Bible found in the Genesis (13,18&19) am sure everyone is familiar with. God wanted to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah becauee their wickedness had come up to Him. So He went to Abraham to negotiate and ask him if he could find 10 people who were righteous in these cities, who would it be?

Abraham search deep within and couldn't find that many. The only ones were his nephew Lot and his family. Abraham love his nephew Lot and wouldn't want to seem him destroyed. God also had other reasons why He spared Lot. Lot was considered a man with great faith in God and integrity. When God's angel came to the cities, Lot help save them from all the assaults/attacks which were coming at them.

Lot was also disturbed by the wicked ways portrayed by the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. This story is a beautiful one and I would encouraged everyone to read it.

Now, Lot and his family were given a very keen instruction when carried out of the city by the angels "DON'T LOOK BACK".

Lot understood what that meant however his wife didn't. She ended up looking back and became a pillar of salt. Research indicates that "the angels warned Lot's family not to look back for two reasons. First, the extent of God's destruction was so great they had to flee to a smaller city some distance away not to get swept away. Second, looking back meant regretting the loss of the cities. The righteous Lot understood that despite the difficulties facing him without a home, getting to keep his life and his standing with God was worth much more than anything the cities of vice offered." (Verrett, 2023).

God knows us best and if He takes us from a place of hurt and abuse, we must not look back. Many of us are on this journey with Christ 1 year, 2yrs, 3yrs, 4 yrs, 5yrs, 6yrs, 7yrs, even 10-20yrs, it maybe rough at times however we must keep reaching towards the mark of the higher calling of Christ upon our lives.

God has everything we need. He knows when to release those things to us. The thing is we believe that the things in this world will make us happy but today I came to disrupt that notion. Without Christ WE ARE NOTHING.

How can we leave a place of plenty to go back to hardship. Or inorder to gain access we got to compromise our righteous standards.

Coming into God's kingdom will allow us to be stripped from all those earthly things. People of God, do not look back. Do not comprise your temple. Do not let loneliness cause you to deny the sacrifice Christ made for you. Don't let our human desires trick us to believe a life with easy access is better.

God is a God of order and standards. Let us keep our eyes on Him. What shall we say then according to Romans 8: 38-39

[38] For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

[39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Timothy 1:12

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day

Let us run this race that is set before us with patience and endurance. Can you say this after me, I will not look back.

Monday June 17/24

Keep on Serving God

Serving God takes dedication and commitment. I wrote sometime ago that we cannot serve Him base on how we feel.  Today we get up, we don't feel like praying, worshipping, reading the scriptures or even speak life into someone struggling in the faith.

If we allow those hindrances to always come in our way, nothing will get done.

Let me ask us this question, what if God was blessing us based on feelings? That brethren would not be a great experience. Someday it will get rough and make us feel like quitting every task at hand. 

There is such an awesome joy we feel each time the work of God is being done. You see people of God, our God cares so much about us. He is a God that wants the best for us. He's a God who requires us to give Him our full attention and service.

Let's do some introspection. Have we ever stopped to think about the many souls that remain in bondage when we failed to launch out or do the assignments God requires of us?

We're not here for self gain or to please mankind. Our mandate is to serve God wholeheartedly. Keep on serving God when they criticize you, when they blame you falsely, when they don't see your worth, we situations are rough, or when you you feel like giving up.

Remember, these words, according to Ecc 9:11

"I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all".

Don't give up just yet. Hold on unto the end.  Remember, we are working to hear well done my good and faithful servant when we meet our saviour.

We are blessed

Let's pause for a moment to reflect.

Whatever we have today is given to us by God. He supplied our needs according to His riches in glory. As children of God, we see the blessings of God in our lives daily.

From waking up in the morning to having the strength to fulfill purpose. A lot of times we don't see these because of complaining day and night

Psalm 1:1–3 explains that

"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper"

We are called to be set apart from this world and not conform to the things in it.

We each have our individual seasons when things look good and when situations allow us to see the blessings of God in our lives.

You see, I have grown so much to stop saying these things "My day was bad" "My week was bad" "The previous month was bad" and much more whenever I faced difficulties.

The word of God tells us that in our season we will bringeth forth fruit...we are like a tree planted by the rivers of waters. We must dwell in the presence of God daily and not leave when it gets rough. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to us. I often times say God does things backward but no matter how the situation may seem, we always see His hands at work in our lives.

Complaining about things we cannot control makes our God seem less than or makes us lack complete confidence and trust in Him.

If today we feel as though nothing is working in our favor, I want to encourage us to shift our perspective and focus.

I want us to do some introspection of our life and recognize that If God has kept us all the days in our lives why then do we see our situations as bad and not blessed?

Our blessings are true and sure. Let us not forget to thank God amid our circumstances. In doing so we see His blessings upon us in our lives.

Be Alert

There is a lizard that everyone is familiar with called the Chameleon. They have the ability to change their skin colour. They use special skill to communicate with each other, express their moods and camouflage their surroundings. Chameleons have crests or horns on the backs of their skull, long, sticky tongues, and uniquely-shaped feet. Many Chameleon species also have a prehensile tail, which can be wrapped around branches to aid them in climbing.

The Chameleon, in others eyes will be seen as a lizard who likes to fit in with its their surroundings. It was Paul who reminded us to not be conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing our minds. We live in a society where everything looks good and many people plow around with feel good messages and exciting words. But the Lord encourages us to exercise discernment inorder to know those wolves in sheep clothing.

The enemy is like a roaming lion going to and fro seeking whom he may devour. The enemy seek out the vulnerable. Strike the vulnerable and once they give in, they become like the enemy's puppet.

Let me draw your attention to another animal the Zebra. From a far off all the stripes on their bodies looks the same. However when you spend time with them, you will see the uniqueness in their stripes.

Let us be alert in this season so we do not become deceived by the enemy's tricks to wound us. Not everything look or sound good means they are what it is. The word of God tells us to believe not every spirit but try every spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know the spirit of God. Every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come, and even now already is it in the world. 1John 4:1-3.

God has given us discernment and so we ought to use it. Be strong in the Lord. Don't jump at first try because a trap might be underneath those things presenting to be good.
