Due to an invisible illness Anni was forced to think outside the box, and quickly found a world of opportunity as a NDTR. She found that being a NDTR was not a stepping stone but a destination. With this mindset she created the business "Anni Weeks" in 2019 which has quickly become a  thriving digital diet tech business.

Understanding scope of practice as a NDTR can be hard. In this video I review 11 questions out out by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for a NDTR to ask themselves to see if they can work without a RD.

Caitlin began her schooling in nutrition with the NDTR credential in mind. Having to work full time to support herself through school her gpa suffered. However, her willingness to work hard and study  paid off. She simultaneously applied to dietetic internships and studied for the NDTR credential. The credential helped her to feel more confident in her applications and even got her a pay raise as her job as a milk tech. Aaron decided to get his NDTR post graduation after his professor pointed him to the credential. As a NDTR Aaron has worked in clinical healthcare and is know working with project angle creating meals for patients with various health complications ranging from diabetes to cardiovascular disease. Bryan became a NDTR after graduating with his bachelors degree. He decided to get the NDTR credential to enhance his resume and find valuable experiences in the workforce before applying for graduate school.

Sami Hupp NDTR is a perfect example of how you can use your DTR credential to the max and have a fulfilling career.  After Sami Hupp completed her associated degree and became a NDTR she landed a job in corrections. After two years of gaining experience and growing her skills, new life blessings, lead her to reapply to her current clinical job. Sami works along side RD's as a valid team member,  screening patients, completing nutrition assessments, recommending supplements and so much more. If this is not enough Sami began a wellness coaching business during covid where she specialized  in women's health.
