 This is what Mark is doing. Learning about the NDTR credential late into his bachelors degree Mark still found value in the credential. Fully transparent Mark takes the time to explain how he is managing being in a dietetic internship,  studying for the NDTR exam, getting a master degree in nutrition and a doctorate in Occupational Therapy!  

With his diverse interest/experience Mark shares an eye opening perspective on diversity in the field of dietetics.  

 Lastly, Mark took the time to talk about something on everyones mind and shares  how he is fighting for his rights as an American as he pursues his career in the medical field.

Bekah completed her NDTR internship during the Covid pandemic.  The hard work she put in during her internship paid off; not only did she pass her NDTR exam after studying for 5 days, but during her internship she wrote a grant, that turned into her first job.  Bekah, has a great focus on the NDTR exam. Sabrina was committed keeping up her NDTR credential even when she could not find work in the field. Her Perseverance, curiosity and strategic planning lead her to pursing a degree in Health Informatics and Health Information Management. Emily knew she was going to become an NDTR before she graduated from her undergraduate program. Her decision to become an NDTR lead her to a solo path, as her classmates pursued the RD credential. However, her decision to become a NDTR has been eventful and fulfilling. In the short time she has been an NDTR Emily has had the opportunity to create a puree diet from scratch at the hospital where she works, and successfully set up a distance internship to pursue her RD credential.

LaVonda is the perfect example of what a successful and exciting career could look like for a NDTR. LaVonda began her career in nutrition working in public health, but wanted to expand her scope of practice and became a NDTR in 2005. She quickly began networking and seeking out volunteer opportunities which allowed her to get her name out and find jobs at a YMCA, in research, in doctors officers.  Her hard work as a NDTR and her passion to increase awareness of NDTR's was recognized by the academy of nutrition and dietetics with the NDTR of the year award. Today LaVonda enjoys working in public health and running her own private practice, nutritiontoeatwell, on the side.

Jolanta's journey to becoming a NDTR was put on hold due to Covid. However, the pause Covid caused in her life did not slow her down. In the extra time Jolanta became very active on social media creating carbediemnutrition and finding a community of NDTRs online. She recently was able to land two jobs.  She is now working in school nutrition and as a dietary assistant at an eating disorders clinic.  Jolanta, is keeping her end goals in mind:  moving up to a managerial position at her food service  job and becoming a dietitian in the future. Full of ambition and a passion to explain nutrition in an easy way to understand, Jolanta is a NDTR to follow
