Psalm 34 reminds us that even in seasons of deep grief and hardship, we are not alone. In verses 18 and 19, we are given this powerful promise: “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart… Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” Brokenness is part of living in a fallen world. Grief, loss, and affliction will come—even for those who follow God. But Scripture assures us that the Lord draws near in those moments. When you feel isolated in your pain or overwhelmed by difficulty, God has not abandoned you. He is close, He sees, and He will deliver according to His perfect will and timing. Lean into the God who is near to the brokenhearted.
