There's a court battle coming up for Robert Kirkman over Invincible, the Bel-Air trailer drops, the Fallout show goes into production this year and Ed Brubaker is the head writer on Batman: Caped Crusader. Speaking of Ed Brubaker & Robert Kirman, both are on display during the First Impressions this week. The Wendigo is a cannibalistic spirit resembling a zombie. In some forms, the Wendigo is the size of a human, while in others, it can be fifteen-feet-tall. The earliest description of the Wendigo was that of similar appearance to a corpse, with a skeleton-like, thin body with gray skin, sunken eyes, bloody lips, yellow fangs and a long, slimy tongue. Later myths say that the Wendigo is a lipless ape with giant fangs that devours human flesh.

It is the last episode of 2021 and Kyle is back on the show! The pair of Nick and him take on what they think will be the top geek releases for the next year. We also breakdown the Hawkeye series and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Spoilers abound on this amazing episode. You might even call it spectacular.

No Way Home has Nick feeling nostalgic, but don't worry we won't be talking Spider-Man on this episode. That's coming later this week though! We do look at the two HBO Max reunion shows for Friends and Fresh Prince after watching the trailer for the upcoming Harry Potter reunion. Speaking of trailers, Nick ended up watching the How I Met Your Father one, while also pondering the Blue Beetle movie news and the new Black Label comic, "Rogues." On the comic side, the new "Prime Time Reading" features explores the Comixology Original book, The All-Nighter, and Dark Horse puts out a really cool book called Cloaked. First Impressions for this episode include You and Inside Job on Netflix, plus the Christmas spirit gets ruined with Santa Inc.

La Llorona is a Cryptid based off of the Mexican urban legend. The origins are unknown, Andres Henestrosa popularized Llorona in 1940 through a folk song. She has entirely white skin, a white dress, black hair, and a slack jaw.

The original story goes that she--for reasons ranging from a cheating husband to downright insanity--drowned her children in a river, then drowned herself out of grief. Another story goes on how she didn't want her cheating husband and his wife to have her children so drowns them and then herself. But couldn't move onto the afterlife. It's said that she roams the riverbanks of Latin America, weeping and dragging passerby into the water to suffocate them.

Black-eyed children (or black-eyed kids) are an American contemporary legend of paranormal creatures that resemble children between ages 6 and 16, with pale skin and black eyes, who are reportedly seen hitchhiking or begging, or are encountered on doorsteps of residential homes. Kyle hosts this episode with Lorna and special guest, Truitt Patrum.

So, the CW is making a show called Gotham Knights that follows Batman's rebellious adopted son after the death of the Dark Knight. Hmmmm, that is almost familiar in a way. Speaking of Batman, there's a new Bat comic on the way with Batman: Beyond the White Knight. We also have Naomi Season 2 comic on the way, a Mega Man live action series and a God's Country movie! There's Continued Impressions for the Dark Woods audio drama and First Impressions for Only Murders in the Building and 8-Bit Christmas. All of this and more.
