It is possible to see the miraculous....to catch a glimpse of the goodness of Jesus...and never let the seed take root in the soil of your heart. Jesus follows the interaction with the pharisees with a parable that reveals the different heart responses to the Gospel. The progression into ministry was a slow one for the disciples. As they followed Jesus and observed his ministry, they became much more than just friends...they became his family. In this passage, Jesus is confronted by concerned family and friends as well as accused by the unbelieving Scribes. His response? He turned to his closest followers and declared them to be his family! Praise the Lord that we are part of the family of God and brought into sweet fellowship with him when we become his disciples!
