Interestingly, there is only one event that is recorded in Mark that happened during that interim...Jesus healed the leper. Why did Mark choose to give us this one event? Because it records for us the power of Christ over disease and illustrates his power over sin and its effects. The leper's cry? Lord...only you can make me clean! Christ's response? "I will; be thou clean."
