On Christmas Day we pause to remember the birth of a Saviour promised since the dawn of time. When the fulness of time had come, as Mary recovered beside a babe-filled manger, angels broke the silence of heaven with joyful song.

Who would have thought that the fate of mankind would rest on the shoulders of baby?

But it did. But this was no ordinary baby. This was the eternal God of the universe, wrapped up in flesh, with the hopes of humanity on his shoulders.

Long before the shepherds woke to heaven's glory and angel's song, light was breaking in the darkness.
