  • Galatians: Grace to the Barren

    Key Text: Galatians 4:21-31

I've known the joy of finally holding my newborn baby in my arms; I've seen the heartbreak of those who long to but feel they never will.

Join us this week as we explore 'Grace to the Barren', where Paul reflects on God's child of promise to Abraham and Sarah. Come along to hear about his glorious conclusion.

  • Galatians: Two Religions, Two Ministries

    Key Text: Galatians 4:8-20

Life is often described as a battle, and as Paul writes to the Galatians, he would agree. Join us this week as we unpack the next section in Galatians to see what these great opposing forces are in our lives.

  • Galatians: Children of God

    Key Text: Galatians 3:26-4:7

"Every verse of this section stretches our horizons, thrilling our hearts with all that we are through faith. Verse 26 reaches upwards—we are sons of the Creator! Verse 28 spans the globe—we are united with every other Christian, one in Christ regardless of anything the world suggests should divide us. Verse 29 looks back through history. By clothing ourselves with Christ through faith, 'you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to promise'. All that God promised Abraham, He has fulfilled and will fulfill in His Son, Jesus; and so all that God promised, we will enjoy as His adopted sons." — Tim Keller

I'm not sure there is any greater news than the Gospel of Grace that tells us we are sons of God, not slaves to performance-based religion.

Join us this week as we continue to marvel at God's grace shown to us in Jesus.

Toward the end of Steve's message, he references a table to illustrate the ways we can think like a slave, as opposed to thinking like a son.

  • Galatians: The Law in the Gospel Life

    Key Text: Galatians 3:15-25

"Whenever we hear the radical claims of salvation-by-grace, we should immediately be prompted to ask: 'If we are free from the law, does that mean we don't have to obey the law? If I am always saved only by Christ's performance and not by my own, why should I strive to live a holy life? Do I have any obligation to keep God's law, and why?'" — Tim Keller

These are important questions, and this week, we try to explore them in the light of Paul's teaching in the next instalment of our series.

  • Galatians: You Never Leave It Behind

    Key Text: Galatians 3:1-14

There are two types of people in the world—those who hoard, and those who off-load.

I tend to fall into the category of the minimalistic off-loader. If I haven't used something in the last 12 months, I probably don't need it and I'll throw it away.

But some things should never be thrown away; some things should never be left behind.

This is especially true of the gospel of grace we were saved by.

Join us this week as we examine the next part of our 'Exploring the Heart of the Gospel' series through Galatians.

  • Galatians: Living in Line with the Gospel

    Key Text: Galatians 2:11-21

"If we could save ourselves, Christ's death is pointless, and means nothing. If we realise we cannot save ourselves, Christ's death will mean everything to us. And we will spend the life that He has given us in joyful service of Him, bringing our whole lives into line with the gospel." – Tim Keller

Join us this week at we continue our series 'Galatians: Exploring the Heart of the Gospel'.

  • Galatians: Gospel Unity

    Key Text: Galatians 2:1-10

Unity is something we should all strive for. But what is it that truly unites us?

Join us this week as we continue our series in Galatians and discover what sort of unity Paul was willing to fight for.

  • Galatians: God's Amazing Grace

    Key Text: Galatians 1:10-24

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound..." - these are the well-known opening words of John Newton's famous song. God's amazing grace is also the central theme of this week's sermon, the next in our series through Galatians.
