Nothing is to be added, whether by new revelations or the traditions of men. The God who exists above us is the same God who inspired the Word, and that gives Him every right to tell us how to live, think, and follow Jesus.

Sufficiency does not mean every doctrine is spelled out in a single verse. Truths like the Trinity, the Hypostatic Union, and the Deity of Christ are drawn from the whole counsel of Scripture, and they stand firm. What sufficiency does mean is that Christ alone is enough. We do not need additional practices, extra revelations, or requirements bolted on alongside Him. Paul's warning is as sharp today as it ever was: any gospel that contradicts what has already been given is to be rejected outright, regardless of the source.

The way we love the Lord is not youthful energy or religious routine. It is the work of the Spirit in us, and anyone who has truly encountered Him will never be satisfied with anything less than His continued work in their heart and their day.

Not every theological disagreement carries the same weight.
