As we enter the Sermon on the Mount, we begin with the famous "Beatitudes." What does that word mean and how do these things impact us? Pastor Isaiah answers those questions and, in light of our morning service and the message from Rev. Doug Clay, we consider a specific call to us to pursue spiritual humility before the Lord God.

In the first of our big events this year celebrating the work of God through Nelsonville Assembly over the past 100 years since our founding, we were blessed to have Rev. Doug Clay, the Assemblies of God General Superintendent, come and join us to celebrate the past and anticipate the future of God's work in and through this church body!

In our final week of this series, we return to Ecclesiastes 3 and hear the wisdom of Solomon in verses 9-14. Pastor Isaiah presses us to see afresh how the sovereignty of God over all things is the basis for true celebration, joy, worship, and fulfillment in our lives.

In our second week in this series, Pastor Isaiah continues to help us set the scene for the Sermon on the Mount and the Lessons on Kingdom Living that Jesus spoke. Understanding how these texts will correct religious errors that tempt us even today and are designed for Kingdom Citizens to understand and apply, we find ourselves eager to honor the Lord as we enter this series.

On this Family Sunday, our kids join us to understand how celebration requires remembrance which only comes from first learning and knowing something. As we look to echo the actions of Asaph in Psalm 77:11-15, Pastor Isaiah introduces our church to another tool for discipleship we will begin using in the form of a church catechism.

Looking back to the Ceremonial Law of the Old Testament and the various feasts and festivals that God commanded His people to observe, Pastor Isaiah helps us draw out the greater reason for worship and celebration that we have today living with the Light of Christ in our view.

In our Sunday Evening Worship Gathering, Pastor Isaiah has begun a new series walking us through the Sermon on the Mount and the Lessons on Kingdom Living that Jesus preached to His followers. In this first week, Pastor Isaiah shares why we will be looking at this great section of Scripture and helps orient us with some introductory material about these passages in Matthew 5-7.

Joy in sadness and celebration in sorrow seem like paradoxical ideas for many. In light of the passing of one of our dear sisters in Christ, Pastor Isaiah explains how the Christian can experience these things mixed together and how our God brings comfort and strength in difficult times and seasons of life.

While many of us know the words of Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 from the classic Byrds hit "Turn! Turn! Turn!" this incredible text speaks in every generation with a greater message than we often realize. As we start a new series called Celebrate, Pastor Isaiah begins with helping us think carefully and clearly about our lives and how the times and seasons that make up our days are all within the hand of God.

On our first Family Sunday of 2023, Pastor Isaiah preaches from Mark 10:13-16 about the heart of Jesus for children. Seeing the strong feeling of our Lord helps to challenge and motivate us as we think about our own lives and the place of kids in our church.
