Continuing to follow our theme of understanding Jesus as the Lamb of God, Pastor Isaiah helps us see the sacrificial death of Christ as the true Passover Lamb as we meditate upon the cross in this special Good Friday service.

When John the Baptist came onto the scene as a prophet of God, his message was one that many in Israel had great trouble accepting. Pastor Isaiah explains the importance of understanding John's proclamation that Jesus was "The Lamb of God" and what that meant would be the primary outcome of His life and ministry.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus continues His pattern of proclaiming that true happiness comes through the opposite of what we typically believe. Pastor Isaiah explains what Jesus meant as He said that we should "hunger and thirst for righteousness" in this life to find the true satisfaction and joy we all long to have.

Continuing in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus moves from the idea of being poor in spirit, to learning to properly mourning and express sorrow over sin, to the heart of a Kingdom Citizen in being meek. Pastor Isaiah unpacks both what this heart posture and these actions displayed look like in the people of God.

The use of the imagery around the Lion reveals the power and majesty of God, but from the Lamb, God's people also learn very important spiritual truths too. In this message, Pastor Isaiah talks about the Old Testament background behind the lamb and how the holiness of God is of utmost importance.

As we prepare for the Easter season, we begin by looking back to the Old Testament and seeing some of the prophetic themes that are given to help us understand the grandeur and majesty of Jesus Christ.

As we enter the Sermon on the Mount, we begin with the famous "Beatitudes." What does that word mean and how do these things impact us? Pastor Isaiah answers those questions and, in light of our morning service and the message from Rev. Doug Clay, we consider a specific call to us to pursue spiritual humility before the Lord God.

In the first of our big events this year celebrating the work of God through Nelsonville Assembly over the past 100 years since our founding, we were blessed to have Rev. Doug Clay, the Assemblies of God General Superintendent, come and join us to celebrate the past and anticipate the future of God's work in and through this church body!

In our final week of this series, we return to Ecclesiastes 3 and hear the wisdom of Solomon in verses 9-14. Pastor Isaiah presses us to see afresh how the sovereignty of God over all things is the basis for true celebration, joy, worship, and fulfillment in our lives.

In our second week in this series, Pastor Isaiah continues to help us set the scene for the Sermon on the Mount and the Lessons on Kingdom Living that Jesus spoke. Understanding how these texts will correct religious errors that tempt us even today and are designed for Kingdom Citizens to understand and apply, we find ourselves eager to honor the Lord as we enter this series.
