Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with LA-based Jazz Drummer, Bandleader & Educator Dean Mucetti .. We talked at length about his new .. and debut 2023 CD called with his Rhythm Real called Isolation-Integration. Like most young musicians setting out to learn their craft, Dean had plans to earn a living playing music. Little did he know he would become a full-time music educator and a mentor to many young people who may not have had access to a music education otherwise. The album comprises six songs constructed collectively by the band with Dean at the helm. He formed the band in August of 2015 as a type of workshop ensemble in order to create a way for a couple of his former middle school music students to gain playing experience after graduating. We get into his love of jazz, playing, teaching and so much more .. Dig this story ..
