This week Sony and Microsoft announced some new information about their respective consoles. Joe and Wren take to the mics to talk about what they think of the next generation gaming systems and if they plan to actually purchase them. The consoles are not the only thing that come up in Episode 113 – PS5 vs XBOX Series X. They would be remiss if they did not at least mention COVID-19 the Coronavirus and the effects it has on the gaming industry at the moment.

This week Joe takes to the mic to talk about his viewing of Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). This is a very short episode as Joe doesn’t really have much to say and just cuts through the crap to give his opinion. So enjoy this 15 minute minisode!

This week Nerd Caster is all about CW’s crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths. Since we are talking about the crossover event on CW, it is only fitting that Nerd Caster does its own crossover with Mike and Wren from Watch-Squad.com. If you love the Arrowverse then this episode is for you. There is a lot to cover as we not only talk about the crossover but the aftermath of the event on the shows over the past few weeks.

Once we are done talking about:

We talk about our views on the Arrowverse now that Stephen Amell and Arrow will never be the same and whether or not we will continue to watch the CW superhero shows. So if you enjoyed (or hated) the crossover check out this episode of Nerd Caster. After listening, let us know your thoughts over on Twitter or Facebook and check our some of our other podcast episodes or articles.

On Episode 109 – Trailer Talk of Nerd Caster, Joe is joined by Justin who is still nursing a boo boo foot. We begin the show by Justin giving an update on how the broken foot of his is healing with hopes of a return to the new studio soon. After that we break down some games we played over the holiday (yeah a little late we know).  After that, we talk about the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot movie and kind of profess our love for the View Askewniverse and Kevin Smith.

After all that, it’s time for the meat and potatoes of the episode where we dive into the trailers that were released over the past couple of weeks, like the Black Widow Movie, Birds of Prey: The Emancipation of one Harley Quinn, Morbius, and more. We spend a bit of time on Morbius and talk about the Spiderverse and how it may be linked to Venom and new MCU/Sony collaboration Spider-man films starring Tobey McGuire.

Was there any trailers we missed? What are movies/shows are you looking forward to, let us know over on Twitter or Facebook.

Nerd Caster finally reviews the newest Star Wars movie The Rise of Skywalker. Joe, Justin, and Mike meet up on Skype to bring their thoughts on the newest and final movie revolving around the Skywalker lineage. The team takes a deep dive into a breakdown of the many characters and how they helped move (or didn’t) the story along. Does this newest title live up to the hype or does it fall flat? Is it better than The Last Jedi or The Force Awakens? Dare I say, could it even be better than some of the Original Trilogy (OT) movies? To find out, take a listen to see what we thought.

The biggest thing we talk about though is the many unanswered questions that The Rise of Skywalker leaves behind and our thoughts on the most likely answers.

After we dive into all things The Rise of Skywalker we also talk about some Mandalorian stuff briefly. Then Justin gives us the breakdown on his broken foot and exactly how it happened.

Let us know your thoughts on The Skywalker saga or any of the Star Wars movies over on Facebook or Twitter.

Nerd Caster is back for the first episode of 2020 and the first episode in about 6 weeks! We have recorded in the new studio, so please bear with us as we try to work out some audio issues for future episodes as the acoustics have changed from our last studio.

The Mandalorian show on Disney + came to end, and we dive deep into some nerdy conversation about it. Nerd Caster is joined by Watch Squad‘s Wren to bring you our opinions and theories about the show.

The team discusses what they thought about the show as a whole and break down certain episodes and characters. With the show only having one season, there is a lot of theories on what Season 2 will bring. The team discusses the following points:

The team does go real nerdy at times about digging up some old school Star Wars lore to try and explain some aspects of the show so there is some stuff in here for the uber Star Wars nerd (like us!).

The Nerd Caster show is back! Justin and Joe sit down this week to talk about their travels to Orlando and L.A., Some video games they played, the new Disney + service, and more importantly the new Mandalorian show on said service. So if you haven’t seen the show yet, SPOILERS AHEAD!

The two start off talking about their travels. Justin was able to attend Microsoft Ignite in Orlando Florida and got to see some cool new things that Microsoft is coming out within the near future as well as some updates to some other updates to already beloved software. Joe, on the other hand, was out in L.A. attending the Adobe Max conference to update his non-existent skills in Adobe products. It’s not all about work as the two were able to attend some parties and enjoy themselves as well!

The show then gets into the meat and potatoes, with Joe and Justin talking about the new Disney + service and their thoughts on release day. They talk about some of the reported “issues” people were experiencing and give their own opinions on their experience. After talking about the service as a whole, it is all about the new Star Wars series The Mandalorian. Only one episode has been released but is it worth watching episode 2?

The two hosts round out the show with some video game talk as Joe gives his opinion on the Marvel Alliance 3 game as well as some retro games he played while traveling. Justin talks about the new Call of Duty game and his overall lack of gaming due to travel.

What are your thoughts on the new Disney+ Service? Let us know on social media!
