While many of us adore the genius of legendary writer, Octavia E. Butler,  there are only a few chosen few who have had the grand pleasure to meet her.  Jelani Wilson is a speculative fiction writer, teaching artist, and educator. He has written for Left Turn magazine and Jukepop.com, where his slipstream fiction serial The World of Two-Way Dreams was first published. He is also a contributing author to the bestselling speculative fiction anthology, Octavia's Brood. He is currently completing the finale of his space opera novella series titled Space Wizards!, the first three books of which are available at eyegasmart.com.

We conclude Black Speculative Fiction Month remembering Ms. Octavia Butler and all her gifts and talents.
