Nerds With Alcohol Show

We ring in the new year with some great nerd topics. We do start off by talking about some recent celebrity deaths, along with some others that were invloved in accidents and a freak sports injury, for lack of a better description. We then get into some shows that are coming back for another season. We discuss comic book news and new writers reversing what previous writers did. We also discuss some impressions on Picard season 2 and Willow season 1 now that Chris has watched 6 episodes of each.

This week we say goodbye to 2022.  We talk about some newer shows, like Wednesday and Letterkenny.  We get into the Doctor Who 60th Anniversary trailer.  We discuss Kevin Smith announcing his next five movies at GalaxyCon.  We talk about Paramount+ and all of the new movies they will be getting after the fist of the year.  Plus, Russ has a couple of Best of 2022 lists; video games and TV shows.

This week we talk about the comments from CEO of WotC about D&D being "under monitized." We also discuss some new shows and movies, as well as some that we've just finished watching. There is some comic book news, and then we finish things off with a couple of Best of 2022 lists. Happy holidays everyone, no matter what you celebrate!

This week we have special guest Quentin, from Elderwood Academy on our show.  Elderwood Academy produces some really spectacular gaming accessories.  We talk with Quentin about the business, how they got started, ups and downs, and a bunch of other nerdy stuff.

This week we talk about, you guessed it trailers.  Several big trailers have been dropped in the last week and we talk about several of them.  We discuss the trailer for the upcoming Neflix show The Witcher: Blood Origin.  We dive into the Indiana Jones 5 trailer; Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.  We also talk about the Guardians of the Galaxy 3 trailer.  Along with all of that we digress into discussions about video games, other movies, and more.

Holy shit we hit 300! Russ is back this episode, and we have so much to get into. On this day we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pong being released and 5 decades of video games.  We discuss the first episode of the Critical Role Mighty Nein Reunited. We talk about the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. We get into the Andor series on Disney Plus. We also briefly discuss the upcoming That 90s Show on Netflix and the news about the Spider-Man Across the Multiverse villain.

It's Thanksgiving week so that means Russ is busy with work again.  Renee and Bob step in to help out though.  We talk about a bunch of TV shows, including current, coming soon, and recently ended.  We also talk about the Blade movie getting a new director.  We also discuss the new words added to the Scrabble dictionary.

This week we have guest hosts Renee and Ed.  We start talking and see where it takes us this week, and it was an interesting ride.  Along with that meandering chat we also discuss Pathfinder 2e, along with D&D and One D&D.  We mention the new Netflix show Wednesday.  Talk a little about House of Dragons and Doctor Who.  It was a good time catching up.

This week Renee fills in for the working Russ, as a host for the show.  With missing a week there is so much for us to talk about.  We discuss the new shows, both coming soon and just announced, on Disney Plus.  We also talk about shows coming to other platforms like Netflix, HBO Max, and Paramount Plus.  We talk movies as well.  We finish things up by talking about a group of professional football players that are playing D&D.

This week we are joined by the lovely Renee. We talk about Harrison Ford joining the MCU. We start discussing Black Adam, and then get into an in depth discussion on the DCEU and movie casting choices. We talk about other things coming out on Friday as well.  We get all science-y for bit. We then do our final deep dive on She-Hulk as we cover the finale.
