January 04, 2016 Episode 53 – Drinking in the New Year
In the latest episode of Nerdsense, your hosts give a shout out to some of the highlights of the past year, talking about some of their favorite movies, video games and albums.
They also discuss the latest Deadpool trailer and finally get around to talking about the latest Mission Impossible film, Rogue Nation.
It’s a pretty informal conversation, and the boys definitely get their buzz on, but it’s lively and fun, with an over abundance of f-bombs courtesy of Mike. It’s the year end episode and they do not disappoint.

Notes: Unfortunately this can has been sitting in the fridge for awhile. While Sip of Sunshine is one of my favorite beers, this was muted and less than fresh. Granted it’s still tastier than alot of other IPAs!

He brought us a sample bottle of Sam Adams Rebel Grapefruit IPA! Currently it’s only on draft with bottles and cans coming in 2016. From the sample, I’ll definitely be picking up a 6 pack of cans when they hit shelves! It’s definitely one of the more interesting new offerings from Sam in awhile.

Samuel Adams Rebel Grapefruit IPA

Notes: This isn’t Grapefruit Sculpin by any means. It’s surprisingly tasty though. For a Sam, you don’t get the normal “Sam Yeast” taste. The grapefruit probably over powers that. The hoppiness isn’t very big as that is also over powered by the grapefruit. Maybe it’s more of a shandy but I like the grapefruit flavor.
