Nerdy Laser

Another Shudder Original for us to devour and another post apocalyptic movie to add to 2024. This one is more occult and stars Samara Weaving and if youre looking for dialogue, you might be disappointed. Check out our Hear & Tell and our thought on this one!

Enjoy a bonus Halloween episode and happy holidays everyone!

After watching the REC Quadrilogy, we figured we might as well cover the American remake Quarantine and the straight to dvd Quarantine: Terminal. Enjoy this double feature and find out how they stack up to the REC series.

Night of the Nerdy Laser takes a break to host this special episode of The Horror Assignment Episode which is a podcast from the past that Richard was a part of. The gang reunites to talk about favorite moments that they had when doing the podcast and talk a little bit about Amityville Horror and a lot about the Warrens. This episode is in memory of Bonzy.

Another year and another VHS movie from Shudder that Jeff forces Richard to watch. This one at first seems to have an alien them but we find out its more sci fi. For tradition we brought back Cory from the Spooky Dudes podcast to discuss this Shudder Original.

We are in the second week of October and continuing on with our special horror series, and this time we follow it up with REC 2!

REC 2 picks up right where the first one leaves us to give us more answers and more infected "zombie" fun! This one still takes place in the same apartment building but is written in way where its not a repeat of the first one. Lots of action & horror moments that will leave you wanting more!

In 2007, a spanish movie came out that would start a found footage franchise, and that movie is REC. Part of the foriegn horror boom that took place between 2005 and 2010, REC cemented its place in film cinema with three sequels and even spawning an american remake by the name of Quarintine.

REC begins as a television crew  consisting of a reporter and camera man as they ride along with a crew of fire fighters as they get a call to go to an apartment building. From there, they are held hostage inside due to a virus that has quickly spread throughout the building to its tenats. We talk about this & more on this spooktacular episode of Night of the Nerdy Laser! Welcome to October!
