My intention is to hold a virtually safe space for you to be in your parasympathetic nervous system and receive your highest good. This prayer has been extremely applicable and beneficial in my life, may it also be that for you. This meditation can be done laying down with supportive items such as pillows, bolsters, rolled up blankets/towels, eye pillow, essential oils, tea/water, a journal and any other resources you have access to from your current environment. Get comfortable. We begin with some breath work, set personal intentions and dive into the most popular portion of the serenity prayer. “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” This is read twice followed by a set of focus words with different prompts. The third/final read through is the serenity prayer in its entirety. “...Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time, accepting hardship as the pathway to peace. Taking as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it. Trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will, so that I may be reasonably happy in this life, and supremely happy with you forever in the next.” Amen🙏🏽 After closing out with three full breath cycles, take as much time as you have or need to linger in this space.
