Netflix Book Club

2017! New year, new episodes! Netflix Book Club No. 73 has us watching Brazilian super sequel Elite Squad: The Enemy Within. We've got comedian and fellow podcaster Darin Patterson (@DarinCredible) to thank for bringing us into the corrupt world of Brazil's Police. Check out the episode, rate and review on iTunes, like the Facebook page!

Netflix Book Club No. 72 is brought to you by comedian/writer Lori Palminteri! Lori has a knack for loving weird, slightly off the beaten path movies and was quick to pick Boy for us this week. This is a movie set and filmed in New Zealand, and if you know any New Zealanders, ASK EM BOUT DIS MOVIE. They probably love it, the weirdos. Anyway this movie is about a boy left alone with no parental supervision, until his deadbeat dad shows up only to make matters worse, although more entertaining. Check out the episode! Happy Halloween from Netflix Book Club! Episode 71 is the 80's horror classic Hellraiser. Stephen and I had never seen it before, and our guest Brian Hogan (Comedy Sucks! Podcast) brought it to us. We have become explorers of the furthest regions of carnal knowledge (or some horse shit like that). Don't be a Pinhead, (Jesus wept) share the episode with your friends! Hit us up on the Facebook page!

Netflix Book Club presents episode 70, Deliverance! This week Stephen and I are joined by friend of the podcast Malcolm Sturdevant. Deliverance is that movie with the dueling banjo scene, and Burt Reynolds, and canoeing, and really nothing else. I had never seen it, and I'm happy I got it out of the way. Hopefully my life isn't ruined from here on out. Anyway, I (Dennis Rooney) am back from tour and hopefully will continue to churn these out about twice a month. Tell your friends! Subscribe on iTunes! Like the Facebook page! We big business over here!

Follow us on Twitter, like the Facebook Page, yada yada yada. NEXT WEEK - WE TALK DELIVERANCE.

Episode 68 is brought to you by Carl, and Rachele O'Hare, Stephen, and Me. It's an intergalactic lovefest over here! We watched Contact, a movie I'd never seen. It's one of those "big" movies with "ideas" and "ambition", both to it's credit and it's fault. But maybe not, the hell do I know? Listen to us rap about this movie, it's a good episode with lots of laughs and more importantly...dynamic movie discussion. Subscribe on iTunes, reach out with suggestions and comments!
